question on rough

i am planning on going to rough this weekend. i was wanting to go after some hybrids. planed on trolling and looking some jumps if they are in it still. any info on baits areas of the lake and times to be there would be great.

we have been the past two weekends and they were chasing shad early and late but they were not hybrids on friday evening, we caught 8 bass on top with spooks the two biggest being around four pounds. saturday evening the hybrids showed up and we ended up with fourteen of them all caught on spooks and trolling with a kastmaster. fish were caught off the main lake points and at the mouth of a couple creeks. good luck ,

thanks for the info. will try it out. are the #5shad raps a good bait to try for hybrids i heard they work good. but when i see those blow up i will be all over them with those spooks.

Went Sunday evening at the first cove/lagoon to the right after the beach by the dam and caught my personal best hybrid on a 5 inch chug bug in the jumps. It was 21 inches and approx. 6 lbs or so. Made my 7 ft. medium action rod act like a willow branch...thank goodness for the 12 lb. big game line. Caught a few more over 15 inches on char/white doll flies w/char trailer.

We caught 2 that were 6 plus and one right at 5. Caught them trolling sunday afternoon on a shad colored crank bait.
