I posted a message this morning asking for help on a place to take a couple young boys bank fishing, what did I get NOTHING!!! You guys are suppose to be great fishermen and outdoorsmen, which you may be ? But your not much on sportsmenship. Again thanks for nothing.
Not everyone checks this board on a sunday morning--lol --So did you and the boys fish--if you didn,t find a place for them to fish at in that area .
(((Shame on you)))![]()
Did it ever dawn on you, that at 8:30 in the morning all the people that are not already fishing, in church, or doing chores, probably looked at your request and figured that it was too late to give you any ideas, since they would figure you were already on your way.
You might have a better chance of getting information, if you plan a little ahead and ask a question that does not need to have been answered YESTERDAY. For that matter, those boys are probably going to want to go fishing again sometime, why don't you ask for suggestions of where to fish, whithout putting a time frame on it? You might get a better response.
And finally, why do you think anyone owes you and that we are poor sportsmen just because we didn't give you what you wanted. Next time you want some information, plan ahead and give people time to answer you.
Thats my opinion,
Grumpy
And a good opinion at that Grumpy---So Grumpy when are you coming back down to CC man ?ps: grumpy check your PM

Another option is to do a search of old posts. I know you are fairly new to the board so you wouldn't know that this question has been asked numerous times. Try the search, it can give you the immediate results you needed. Hope you got to enjoy fishing with the boys. There is nothing better than helping a younger generation experience the joy of fishing!
Riverdog needs to catch a fish and in a hurry. Tough task to post at 6:30am Sunday morning and expect answers to your questions in time to be at the lake catching fish in a hurry. You need to back up on the Sportsmanship questioning and information giving part of your answer. Responses like this will net you no information at all in the future. Like the others said, post it earlier and give some time to respond. Those that are fishing this time of year are either on the lake night fishing during your post request or already launched for the morning bite for the day fishing, which was also at the time of your post. Sure hope you caught some fish but NEVER question the Sportsmanship and Integrity of many on this board. I agree some are pricks but the MAJORITY of them will happily help with some information, especially to help a kid catch a fish. Good Luck to you, and as far as Sportsmanship goes look in the mirror and judge yourself by your comments before questioning others. Next time, post early, put where you live and how far are you willing to travel, how old are the boys and what are you targeting, Gills, Cats or Bass would have been nice information. Good Luck
Don't let one unanswered post get you down. There are some great guys on here. I've gotten excellent advice before and met some of the finest fellas through this message board. The turnaround isn't always instant as some of the other guys have pointed out, but there are some top notch fisherman on here that will usually share info... if you ask nicely (thanks for nothing may not get you much help)
So I thank all the guys that have helped me out, taken me fishing, and the such. You can usually run into a fishin.comers all over the place.
Blessed Fishin
I have found this group to be very helpful however you need to give about a weeks notice on info as some are not on here every day
If I would have seen the post I would have given info to anyone in my neck of the woods on where to go bank fishing......... But sorry you live in Somerset, KY. I live outside Louisville.....
On a Sunday morning a good fisherman is either (a) In church (b) already out fishing, or (c) trying to recover from a massive hangover.
As for me, at 6:00am I was alread out fishing.
I only check on this board Mon through Friday.
