    Pig from Dale ???????

A buddy just e-mailed me, he lives in Tennessee and said somebody caught a 9 lb smalljaw from the Hollow. He believes it to be ligit and is trying to send me a pic. If this turns out I'll try and post it for all to see. A nine is a beast guys what a fish. Maybe just B.S but he usually doesn't say this stuff unless it's got some truth to it. Anybody else here anything? Maybe Elwood could call all his guide buddies and find out???

That would be a monster for sure. I would love to see a 9lb smalljaw up close and personal. My best is 7.03 and I thought is was a brute. Can't imagine one of that caliber. Would love to see some pics if you can get some and the story pans out.

Working on the chiming, but my peeps have not heard anything just yet but they are checking. I do know of a 8-14 Largemouth that was caught a couple of weeks ago but not that big of a Smallie, but I will keep checking. If there was a 9lb Smallie caught and it had a 10" Powerworm on a 4/0 worm hook hanging from its jaw and was caught near Big Goat then that is the one that I lost a couple of weeks ago after she took me into a deep brush pile.

Well Woody my buddy is starting to think it's just a bad rumor. Despite efforts to find out more he has came up empty. The guy that told him this is on the lake alot but with no pics and not much verbal skuttlebutt you just have to right this one off as a wishful thinking I guess. I'll get my 8 lb some day I hope, that's my goal. Tightlines to all and keep chunkin and windin.

There are plenty of 9 pounders swimming in Dale but I would have to think she would be so deep this time of year that she would be very difficult to catch for the novice. It would be defineately take someone targeting this size to have a shot. Early spring during the spawn maybe but this time of year TOUGH.
