Hey 'cast... Tell you what I'll do. I'll let you dump that old boat down here on our farm. I won't even charge you for dumping that old piece of.... well I'm trying to come up with a good adjective... LOL!!!
I wouldn't do this for just anyone, but I know you, and I just want to help. I'll let you keep the trailer if you want, just get it off the trailer in my lake, and we'll be set. HA HA HA
Danny
hey danny wish I had know you wanted a boat just for the farm,,,i just burned a charger up,,,it still floated but didn`t want to sell it to somebody and that crack come back,,,I`ll keep a look out for you a bass boat to put down there,,,
Thanks man, and I'll invite you to fish the lake with me. It has only one other access, and that belongs to the company that owns the other 88 acres or so. The lake just isn't fished. I can't launch my Triton, obviously, but I always figured if I could just get an old fiberglass to leave back there, and make sure I have depth finder, a TM, a couple of seats, and I'd be set. I've seen some huge fish jumping back there, some appearing to be in the 6 lb. range. The company that owns all the land around us does have a little aluminum bass boat that the owner bought, but from what I've heard, he only has fished there once so far. No one else has access. We obviously won't let folks fish there. My pop (father-in-law) won't even let members of his family fish there. They are not immeadiate family but he says if I let one of them fish, then I have to let them all fish there, plus they will bring friends too. I imagine he is right. Pop will let me fish back there, I think...LOL
Danny
Hey Danny, You think?.LOL Well this Procraft that was to be so leaky don`t leak a drop. I think he told his wife that so he could buy another boat. That man thinks like me. But the boat don`t leaka drop. I had that boat out 5 times and might have pumped a gal of water out. I may have a lead on a boat that I`m trying to get the motor off of. He told me it had a bad transom which would hurt you a bit. Sounds to me like you got yourself a hell of a honey hole. But I`ll keep looking for you.

Not sure why I hit reply with quote... LMAO... just thick fingers I guess.
Hey, I may have a job for you. We just inherited about 7 acres. It has the house we used to live in, and a couple old collapsed and burned out houses, and some old trailer lots. Well the last guy that lived on one of the trialer lots had an old tri-hull runabout that he abandoned down in one of the hollows. We just found it. I'm going to wait until the first frost, get rid of some of those ground insects that are really bad this summer.... ticks, turkey mites, etc... and I'm going to pull that old boat out and check it out. I'll probably put it up on something, and fill it with water to see if it leaks. If it does, I may want to use your expertise to fix the leaks if possible, and then I'll add the fishing seats and TM. Not sure just what kind of shape the boat is in, can't get to it very easily right now.
In any case, be prepared for my request for help!!!! LOL
Danny
Well Danny I may have a hull for you. I`m going to try work up a deal with a buddy of mine that as a late 70`s Asto glass bass boat. Well the old girl is just old sun faded bad and He needs to up grade his hull. I may sell him the boat at a great deal and take his hull with a trolling motor and leave the seats and I`ll take the steering, ect off and keep a working bilge, and air for the boat. You and I can make a deal on the hull. very low cost if ya take me fishing and you`d have a working ready to go hull.
All we`d have to do is swap motors from Jims boat to mine....a 115 should push it along pretty good..
Hey Danny, I'm not much of a mechanic and I've never worked on a boat motor. But I have a YarCraft tri hull, it's about a 1973 or so. Got it from a family member and cleaned it up real good but I think it would be better off in someone's hands that knew more about boats than I do. It's got a deck mounted trolling motor, depth/fish finder (I think it works), new seats, 75 horse Johnson (1973) and trailer. My uncle told me everything worked great and the motor is really strong but he couldn't get it started after puttin in a new ignition switch. If you might be interested shoot me an e-mail to
[email protected] and put in the subject line YarCraft or boat so I know not to delete it. lol I'll send ya some pics. If not then that's cool too.
Thanx
