What dams on the Kentucky river in the Lexington area have you fished? Are all the dams open to fishing and which one's do you prefer.I've never fished below any dams with the exception of the dam at Boonesboro when I was a kid.Any details about species or times of the year or day will be deeply appreciated. Thanks in advance for any and all reply's.

Below Lock 4 in Frankfort can be good at times. Jim's Seafood parking lot off Wilkinson Blvd. for entry. It may be late for the white bass bite (not sure) but occasionally there are some nice cats caught and a few years ago a guy I know caught a 50+ inch muskie out of there.
If you go, be really careful - the path down to below the dam can be treacherous if it is wet. I'd wear a PFD if I went.
Thanks for the help.
