    Cumberland musky

    Just wondered about the musky that are stocked in tenn that seem to make their way down to cumberland that now have a stable lake like dale and might set up house and might get a foot hold like at dale. Is that possible?

    If they did, and they went to the back of the creeks to spaun in the same places as the Stripers do, could crossfertilization of the eggs of both species occur? If so, would it create a fish that looked like this? See link

    Not sure what you are saying. The Cumberland River origin is in Kentucky.
    There ARE muskies in Lake Cumberland. Not many but I get fish reported from time to time and currently a 15 pounder is the "Lake Record" recognized for the lake by Fishin.com
    I have seen video of Muskies caught on Cumberland though I have never seen one.
    Dale Hollow has always had Muskies.. the Southern Strain like is in Cave Run.
    Barren has them also. Several of our Southern edge lakes east of I-65 have Muskies or had them before impoundment.

    Ah-haaaaah! The ole I-65 to the lakes trick, eh? Well alrighty then, I'ved notified the State cops, and they will be pulling over any suspicious Muskies going south on I-65.

    there was a 48 inch musky caught in the head of otter creek last year!!! I think a picture was shown on ky afield

    Jim, we have caught several in the 15 to 20lbs range. The biggest one I have weighed was caught by Adam McKee it was 30lbs 11oz. and was 50 1/2 inches. I have seen 3 in this range. Big South Fork Outdoors
