Yes Cajun you can use cranks in the winter i had a great day back years ago on cumberland some real horse smallies-slow is the key-got to slow it way down- gl to youYea, Cedar is tough to get out of the wind on. Good to see some action on Herrington. Its close by for me and Id love to fish it, I just didnt know how to fish it in winter.

Heh, well I tried cranking all day yesterday at Cumberland down near Burnside in Pittman and South Fork and on every main lake point and cut I could find. Threw Bandit 200-300s, DT 10's, DT 16's.. then went to wiggle warts, sparkle tails and small shad raps on 8lb test.
Only fish we caught came on rubber skirted jigs with uncle josh craw trailer in avocado.
I would fish herrington if I thought I could catch more fish there. I usually put in at Keys (Now Coffey's Cove) and have had more luck up that way than anywhere else.
