Thats not going to be much help to any of them this year though Pro V, they haven't started doing anything that resembles construction, that I can see. My guess is, its still a year or 2 away.

I have heard that Dudley Webb former owner of Jamestown marina has bought the marina at Dale Hollow S.P.
Plans are for a 200 slip expansion to start with, I guess he thinks that everybody will be bailing out of Cumberland.

The Marina is ALMOST complete.
New slips look great.

Dudley Webb is the owner as stated above.
I put in there yesterday, and it looks like a new marina with alot more slips is almost finished. I saw two guys haul a bunch of dock material out of there and I followed them all the way back to lake cumberland area. They turned off in the direction towards Jamestown Marina.
What about parking? Any word on that issue?
Oh it's definitely there....love the 10 minute taxi. What's next 50 million buckeyes....the ones specifically that go to Cumberland in the Summer, get drunk and throw stuff in the water. Can't wait for that.....well for those people.... it's dry...another hour or so travel time and there is more law enforcement in this area than anywhere else on the lake.
For the cool buckeyes who enjoy solitude, watching eagles and bringing your own, you ought to consider.
My thoughts exactly !!What about parking? Any word on that issue?

I offered to hold a telethon several years ago to build the Ohio Navy their own lake in order to keep them home. I recieved very little support, hey I tried, LOL. At Cumberland we just love the Ohio Navy with their battleships, 50 foot cigar boats, 8' water drafting tub cabin cruisers, personal water craft, ahhh I just can't wait till summer.........NOT,LOL.What about parking? Any word on that issue?

If he puts in a restaurant with decent food he will make out like a bandit as the food at the Lodge really ***** with no restaurants close by.
you can count on a new ramp, b4 or by early summer's will be located off to your right just b4 you make your turn towards the marina ramp parking area,
rumor has it the new parking lot which is also proposed along with the new ramp mentioned above might not happened. The parking is a real issue, and its being being fumbled with.
With that being said & living here, watching this all take place in front of me IM trying to understand how they build a new ramp the lake is coming up now,
Locals upset they are losing there swim area to the boater's
Quick update, on the ramp, you can launch on both sides of the courtesy dock (I did today),,, lots of construction going on .... water is rising, 45.7 degrees will drop some this week temp that is
I don't think you will see any additional parking this year since the state took away something like 15 million dollars that was supposed to be earmarked for the park so they could take care of the big horse show coming to Lexington. Parking last summer was getting to be a real chore at the end of the summer. I expect this year to be really bad.
Was there last week and noticed the slips were all for houseboats or large pleasure craft. Those people will surely take up all the available parking spaces and there are currently very few. Do you guess we fishermen can park on the golf course?.
From what I know about Dale Hollow, and having been to most all of the ramps around the lake at one time or another, I think the majority of the ramps and marinas all have parking problems at the busy part of the summer. Granted it is worse at some more than others. I think the way the marinas look at is " it may not be easy, but have you ever had a situation where you absolutely couldn't find a place to park?". That is one answer I got when I complained about the parking situation, and I had to answer, well....... no, but it was hell finding one. I just think it will always be this way at most facilities in this area. I don't know why it's that way but it has been that way for 35yrs and they haven't fixed it, I don't see any chance of it being changed anytime soon !! JMO
