    Sigh...

I love snow, but not in March...

I'm going to Reelfoot in a week, I guess I can just be thankful this hit this week and not next week :-)

So whats the worst weather you have intentially went fishing in because you wanted to go fishing sooooo bad?

We we're on Dale a few years ago and it rained 5 inches in the morning. We heard that from the Marina. We were out in the middle of it, then when we got back later that night, we were told there was a torando in the afternoon that went just north of our campground. Weird....

Man, you have a bad case of "Cabin Crap". Have you checked with your doctor lately? If he has a Scrip for it, please share here. I hear it' goe's around most of Kentuck this time of the year, but no one has found a surefire cure, other than a bobber sink, tight line, thump, what the hey...got one!! Weather should be better next week. Hopefully, we can ALL get out on the water. If we catch a few fishies.., that would be a plus... Hang in there...SPRING is a comming!!

    Good Fishing to all,
    Gary

Several years ago when i fished just about every weekend i have fished in severe thunderstorms but the trip that stands out the most is me and a buddy of mine went to fish a buddy tournament up here in northern ky. at Bullock Pen. I think it might have been the last weekend in march and when i got up that morning and went outside there was two to three inches of snow on the deck of my boat so we just hooked it up and went to the lake, got to the lake and and brushed the snow of the decks and ended up winning the tournament with 5 fish in the 14-16lbs range.

It was Derby weekend in I believe 1990 that I was with a friend on the Kentucky river where the Dix empties into it. It rained, sleeted, and snowed, all in one afternoon.
If memory serves, we got skunked on the fish, but the bourbon later was good!!

MINE WOULD HAVE TO BE FLY FISHING IN KEMMERR, WYOMING DURING MID-JANUARY. TEMPS WERE AROUND 0 WITH A WIND CHILL -30. WE HIT HAMS FORK AND HAD TO SNOW-SHOE DOWN TO THE RIVER DUE TO THE 5' SNOW DRIFTS. WE HAD KNOCK THE ICE OFF THE BANK TO GET IN. THE EYE-LITS ON OUR FLY RODS FROZE SOLID ON ABOUT EVERY OTHER CAST. WE STILL MANAGED TO CATCH SOME BIG BOWS, WITH THE BIGGEST WEIGHING IN AT 7.6 LBS CAUGHT ON A #20 PINK SCUD. I'VE NEVER BEEN CLOSER TO HAVING FROST BITE IN MY LIFE THAN ON THAT DAY! I'M GETTING THE CHILLS JUST THINKING ABOUT IT! BACK TO MY FIREPLACE!
