I think they're talking about Ramp one. It's just south of the Dam on 55.
It's a Corps ramp, so you have to pay the launch fee.

Can anyone tell me which ramp is "Fisherman's Ramp" on Green River ?? I have a map and it does'nt list such a ramp. Maybe it's a local term ?? Thanks...

I am fimiliar with every ramp on the lake. I have used about 75% of them and I have never heard one of them refered to as fishermens ramp.
Now there is a place on Green that is called Fishers Bend and Fishers Trail. There is no boat ramp in that area. That area is located near Holmes Bend. When you go past the camp grounds at Holmes Bend you will see a gravel parking lot on the right. there will be a sign that says Fishers Trail. That is where the horse riding trail is located.
On the lake below the horse trail I have always called that part of the lake Fishers Bend but there is no boat ramp in that area...back down stream a mile or two you do have Holmes Bend Marina.
I get that all the time, people saying "out there by the old stink creek" or "down near Lukes farm" or "just past green stump" you know what I mean. you're glad for the help but have no earthly idea what their talking about![]()
Thanks for the input guys....Fished Green today and the warmest water found was 48.9 and water was very muddy.. Only caught one 13" fish after 9 hours on the water...They must have swam south for the winter or the muskies ate them all...
It could be the ramp at Casey creek or the one about 3 miles up green where Casey creek joins Green. Both are good ramps with good fishing and parking,
The ramp in Casey is called Arnolds Landing
3 miles above where Casey and Green split is the Snake Creek Ramp.
To my knowledge there is not a ramp on Green called Fishermens Ramp. There is a Fishers Bend and Fishers Bend Horse Trail but there is a no ramp in that area...the Holmes Bend Marina ramp is 1-2 miles down stream.
I was just thinking about how many ramps Green had and how many of them I have used. I can think of 10 boat ramps that are open to use. There is one more ramp located at the Lone Valley camp site but I believe that it can only be used buy the people in the camping area. There is 3-4 more areas that I have seen people unload small boats but they are not offical ramps with a parking area...more like a pig path LOL. Out of the 10 listed I have used 8 of them plus an old road bed that I did not list because it is not an offical ramp.
Can anybody else add a Ramp to the list.
Has anbody used more than 8 of them.
Snake Creek
Arnolds Landing
Holmes Bend
Bulter Creek ramp aka Adair Co. ramp
Site #1 aka Ramp #1
Green River Marina ramp aka state park marina
Lone Valley aka state park ramp
Emerald Isle Marina ramp
Pikes Ridge
Smiths Ridge
Hey Gene,
I have always wondered how in the world you get to the Butler ramp by road?
skeeter, which way are you coming from or what area of the lake are you wanting to fish? maybe i can point you to the nearest ramp to save on gas in the truck/boat.
pastorbass,to get to butler creek ramp from c-ville:
hwy 55 to coburg, left onto 682, left @ kellyville church(682), @ stop sign go straight about 1/2 mile turn right onto brigdewater rd, then 2nd road on left Mt. Carmel boat ramp rd.
There's Taylor County Ramp at the Taylor County Boat Dock and as far as I know, Lone Valley is open to all, not just the campers.
If you are coming from Columbia when you turn on Holmes Bend road go about 1-1/2 miles and turn left onto 682 then go 3/4 mile then right on Bridgewater then a couple miles and right onto Mt Carmel Boat Ramp road 1/4 and you end in the water.
