If you want to talk about ignorance, let's start with YOU...."WE went to war; WE have to protect our country, WE did this, WE did it for freedom." Just when did your part of "WE" go?
Let me tell you something, Pal. My brother was already in the military, about 25 years, when those wars started. He is one of the many people who was there when they brought Saddam Hussein out of that spider filled, lice infested hole in the ground. That war was NOT about our freedom; it was about a lie that George Bush told about weapons of mass destruction. He was sent, in the beginning, to help in the search for WMDs.
It never ceases to amaze me how much some people, who have never served in the military, know so much about the price of freedom. You wouldn't know what it was if it bit you in the @ss. Iraq was in NO WAY responsible for what happened on September 11, 2001. You tell me, how could that unjust war be to protect The United States from Iraq. Then get your dirty arse in your truck and come here and tell my brother's son and grandson about the price of freedom. The little grandson tears the covers off every bed in the house as he searches and screams for "Poppy." You dry his little eyes and explain to him why Poppy isn't coming home.
Even as late as yesterday, some "bright stars" got the idea to make Iraq use profits from their oil to pay for the war. I wonder which country has plans for administering that money.
You owe an apology to every person who has served and those now serving in that hell hole. Don't you ever accuse me of disrespecting any military person by saying the war was about oil. My deceased brother, the one killed in Iraq said the VERY SAME THING. He served 5 tours of duty in that stinking place, and died for what?
