Eric is doing really good. He is going to try and help me get my first ever flintlock muzzleloader. Been wanting to try it for a while.

The new owner (Tom) really tries, but he is new to the business. He has a lot of good ideas to make the place better, but it is one of those "spend money to make money" deals.

Yeah i have talked with him a few times,telling me his ideas.It takes a ton of money to try and keep everything in stock that everyone wants,almost impossible i'd say.I never had any problems with him,mainly i would want something ordered and it was never relayed or written down by employees.

I actually spoke with someone within the last hour. They said we wouldn't know what was going in until the coming soon signs are put up. The contractor/developer is still taking bids from different business's.

In regards to the original thread...I wished they'd build a Cabela's somewhere near the Clarksville BPS, seems to me like they would, or at least within a 100 mile radius of Clarksville.

Tell you what...once you've been in the Clarksville BPS, all other BPS's seem pale in comparison. Or too it could be what ever you get used to I guess. I go to Clarksville BPS quite a bit and when I was in Destin, Florida here recently I went in the BPS down there...I definitely like the Clarksville store better, but the Destin store served it's purpose at the time I guess. Just like someone else here responded, BPS seems to be a commercial beast these days as fas as construction is concerned.

"A few?" I think you just named both of them (Smyrna and Pepper's). Bullfrog Creek is out of business. Karem's is a beer bar that also sells bait. He sells good minnows at a fair price, but his selection of tackle is a joke.

I want to recant this statement. Karem's has been carrying more and more tackle lately, at pretty good prices. He still doesn't have what I'd call a wide selection, but it's getting better.

I work within 4 miles of the Clarksville, BPS. I'm sort of hoping for a Cabella's somewhere close to me or at least near my route to Dale or Cumberland.

The way I see it, if you`re more than 10 bucks worth of gas from a BPS store you can order from them cheaper than driving there. Tom.
