Hit a farm pond this morning...

Me and a old fella from work hit his farm pond this morning. He kept telling me that we don't keep any bluegill under 11 in . Yea right I said. Then he said 25 is our limit. So we got started at 9 am and by 10 we had a cooler with 25 11 plus in slabs in it, with 4 crappie pushing 14 in or so. Fished around a while and had alot of fun. Man they will be tasty. Fun stuff!!!

Big bluegill on an ultralight are a lot of fun. Some people think I am crazy but they are my favorite eating fish as well. Never ate walleye and don't keep bass so basically I like them better than crappie.

Catch and eat some tasty Walleye and you just might change your mind. Just my opinion, but the BEST tasting fish swimming in freshwater is Walleye for me, Crappie second and then Gills.

Gotta agree with the ole Woodmeister on this one. I caught and kept several eyes from Cumberland this year and had the Mrs. fix'em up for me with her special beer batter. HMMMMMMMMMM, HMMMMMMMMM, good enough to make ya smack your grandma. I mean I couldn't sit still and eat'em they were so good.

I would love to try walleye just never had the chance. I don't get to fish lakes that often that have walleye in them. My buddy that goes to Canada every year was going to bring some back for me but buy the time I saw him (shortly after he got back) it was all gone. It must be good stuff.
