i bought a pair of siscors a while back that were made for cutting braided line and they seem too be getting dull. does any one know of a way to sharpen them? they look to be some what serrated.
thanks for any info
I use small stainless steel wire cutters or a sharp knife. Had a pair of those scissors and they didn't work for me.
Thanks for the input, was thinking about buying a pair of those scissors, now I'll just continue using a knife, but there is a battery operated one that uses heat, wonder!
Go to Wl-Mart in the crafts section. They have a little pair of yellow handled scissors that has a sheath for about 6.95. They cut braid good.

I have heard that you can cut the stuff really well using an old Dental Floss container. My nail clippers work just fine for me when cutting the braided line.
One of the best, and cheapest, things to use for cutting braid ... is a pair of "Childs Fiskar Scissors". They're small enough to put into most tackleboxes, and can usually be found for less than $5.
Knives, cutters, and clippers may work ... but, they usually crush or frey the tag end. Burning also works, but can leave a "bulb" on the tag end. Fiskars cut a very clean tag end. I use mine for cutting PowerPro 10/2 ... because I'm tying on 1/32-1/16oz jigheads, and the jig eyes are pretty small. It's tough enough for me to get this thin diameter line through those small holes ... without the freyed end, or burn bulb ... LOL !! The clean cut of the Fiskar scissors makes it much easier.
