    Waveland /Glen flint

Anyone been to Waveland or glen Flint Lately? It has been a few years for me. Just wondering how the Bass fishing is? I know there was a kill on Waveland a couple of years ago, has it bounced back? We have a very small club tournament on either waveland, Glen Flint, or Raccoon, or a cobo of the two this weekend. Any info/advise would be apreciated.
    Thanks in advance

    Fishman:

I fished Waveland last Saturday in a Club Tournament, I got 2nd place with 4 fish. All were caught in swallow water, 3 caught on Grade Shad worm, and 1 on a Spro Frog. I fish in the upper end of the lake. First place was won fishing the Dam Area, I think, or at least thats where I saw him fishing. May bite was a morning bite. Good luck.

Not even a contest between the three. If given the choice, stay on Waveland. Been catching big numbers all year long. Was there yesterday and they're still biting good all day. Limits are easy if you're tuned into the bite.

Weeds are still in Waveland, but under control. Fish with your boat in the "break" when it drops to about 8ft, then cast back towards the 3ft to 6ft around.

We used various versions of lipless crankbaits. The most effective for me was a Lucky Craft D-7 in chartreuse shad. The SPRO Aruku shad in "Old Glory" was working good for my partner.

We came in 3rd place with 10.5lbs, and it was won with 11.3lbs.
