    Unhappy Lost a friend

    Lost a friend this week to pancreatic cancer, it was discoved in Aug and he passed away Sun, having memorial this Sat. He was only 52. He was a great friend and great person and will be missed. It seems the older I get the more funerals I attend, these seem like the only reuions we have now is all get together when another passes away. It should be easier handling death now as I am older and wiser but it seems to hurt more for some reason esp when they are close to your age and have known them for years. It does not get any easier. Kenny Weber was a great friend, musican, and person and business owner, his family and friends need your thoughts and prayers. Thanks

    Sorry for your loss Bobby, it is never easy.

    I just went through the same thing last weekend when they found the wife's uncle dead in his home. He was only fifty and it was natural causes, but still this is a guy I have shared a beer with a few times and it made me feel the same way as you described....too many funerals the older I get.

    Here's hoping for better things to come.

    Don't be sad.
    Just think of stepping on a shore and finding it Heaven;
    Of touching a hand and finding it's Gods;
    Of breathing new air and finding it Celestial;
    Of waking up in glory and finding it Home.

    Prayers and sincere condolences sent to those who lost a friend and a relative.

    Sorry to hear the bad news. That pancreatic cancer is one mean S.O.B.
    To my knowledge, the survival rate once diagnosed is zero and a very short time to live.
    My prayers to you and his family.

    Re: Lost a friend

    My wife died from that cancer, its deadly. Its almost impossible to cure. But it has deepened my faith, and the words"who ever believes in me, will never die" has finally sunk in. We start to die the day we are born.

    Re: Lost a friend

    Sorry to hear that KY. I also lost my mother to cancer in 99 and father in law last year. We all here have this in common it seems most of us have had to deal wit a loss due to cancer, and faith is the only thing to get a person thru it, my mother passed away peacefully due to she had faith and was ready to go,it looked like she smiled before her last breath. These things change a persons outlook on life quick, enjoy every day as it is your last as we never know, no matter how bad things get, just keep going, like Ike shouts "never give up". And never quit living until living quits you. You guys are awesome as no matter who posts here you all offer support during sad times, I belive Elnut got thru his ordeal due to the positive support he got from here and his friends, this is what America is supposed to be about, we all disagree on politics, religion, what the best rod/bait is, but when in need we come together, in word/thought/prayer. Thanks guys.

    Re: Lost a friend

    I have also lost a close friend one year ago. Seems like the world lost just a little of the glimmer it once had. I am not real religeous but a close friend is and he told me a week or so after the funeral that we didn't lose a friend, he just went to scout the good water and will guide us someday. May sound a little sappy but you know it did help me. Sorry for your temporary loss. Joe G
