    Gasoline prices

Hey, with gas prices going down, I went fishing this last weekend. Saved almost $12.00 on filling up two 12 gallon tanks with prices down .50/gallon. And then paid it all back cause the prices of cokes, coffee, snacks, and even nightcrawlers was up.

Next time I go, I think I'll buy no gas, and take a bottle of Jose Cuervo. Ramp in, tie up to the dock, and just bobber fish right there. That way I'll save the whole 24 gallons worth of gas, won't drink any coffee or cokes, and can fillet the first 3 bluegills caught to bottom fish for cats. And once the tequilla has me wasted while safely tied to the dock, I can save another $40 bucks by sleeping on the boat and avoiding a motel bill.......a couple trips like that and I'd be rich.

Did I tell ya all about the hornet nest???????

Yeah, it's kind of funny how the price of oil is going down which brings the price of diesel down but I haven't seen any relief in grocery prices. I gurantee you if oil goes back up the groceries will spike again (w/o ever going down). I just think it's funny how that works. They don't hesitate to raise prices but they won't drop them.

    Re: Gasoline prices

One big reason grocery prices are up is because of the ethanol mandate that raises corn prices. In effect it's basically taking us say two gallons of fuel to make 1 gallon of corn fuel...that don't quite add up . so what i'm saying is it's costing us more energy to make corn fuel than what we are getting out of it and congress has a mandate on it. Hopefully our next president and congress will do something about that This isn't the only reason grocery prices are high but it is 1 major factor.
