Not necessarily in the Richmond area, but Doug Meyer of Meyer's Boat Restoration is just south of Louisville and his quality of work plus price will more than make up for the extra miles to get the boat to him. He is Onemorecast56 on this site. Look him up

I'll 2nd Doug Meyer for the carpet job. I personally haven't had any work done by Doug yet. But have heard nothing but good things from the people who have used Doug for their Carpet Repairs, boat work and complete Carpet Installations.....

    Re: re carpeting boat

I am just finishing the 3rd season on my boat since Doug recarpeted it. That would like the normal angler getting 10 years out of their carpet job since I am on the water everyday....looks like I will get one more season out of it too...can't beat that.

Hi buddy,,,thanks for asking, here`s how it goes,,,,ask others for a price and you`ll see I`m the cheapest. I did Dave S`s boat alot cheaper then most. There is alot of labor involved in rangers. Most the hatches are pop riveted in,,,got to drill them out and replace with screws. And on the hatch side new nuts and bolts to attach the hinges back on. This makes it better and tighter. Your looking at 550-600 for carpet and labor,,k,unless you want to come help and then I`ll cut you a deal. If you help THEN you`ll understand my prices. Just let me know. Alot of people think it`s easy to replace carpet till they get into it...then you hear alot of crying...LOL oh and if your interested, I`ll cut you a real deal on the pad for your front and rear decks while i`m in the middle of it.
