we were in Late sept and early Oct for big hybrids ,now they are only running 1ft of dam at upper & lower sights need at least 3ft of dam for the stripers .....No sauger yet hopefully this cold snap will turn them on

I wish the Sauger would hurry up & turn on, I am getting pretty hungry here. If we are off this weekend I may try to talk someone into trying it. You know who you are, cause we talked about it last night.

Not too much going on there yet.

I've been down 3 or 4 times............a couple in my canoe, and a couple from the bank.

I've caught about 1/2 dozen smaller sauger so far.........Nothing like the 3+ pounders like last year.

    Hopefully............SOON.

    Later,

    Geo

went today had big minnows fished the lower not even one bite ,you can see your anchor on the bottom in 8ft of water ...never seen the river this clear ...ever in teh 15 years I have been fishing it ...even tried minnows with no jigs ,just on a hook ...nothing

The wife caugth 4 sauger last Monday on a blade bait .green and chrome they wer decent ,then I caught just one on last wednesday ,but nothing today even teh hybrids weren't there //I am perplexed to say the least .I think it is becasue the water is so clear those sauger can really see great .I have even swiytched to 6lb green camo line ...no help ....jeese I want a limit of sauger

Did you happen to spot any of the anchors I've lost there? I'd gladly give you a "finders" fee. !!!!
