Yeah, 8 years of Paybacks are HE double Hockey sticks ain't it?Are you really still posting this nonsense??? The election was over last week. I have never heard so much belly-aching, and whining in all my life. I swear had McCain won, and Me or PL pulled this garbage - you would be spearheading the lynch mob to do away with people that hate America by not supporting the soon to be president.
Kind of like the crap that Bush got after 8 years of smear campains by the Repubs on Clinton? So where does this BS stop, when we finally become completely divided as a nation. Seriously, Obama isn't even in the white house yet and some of you are already calling him a failure.

Andrew.......
You should know where these guys get their crazy ideas from...hows about the drug addict limpball, hannity and the rest of the right wing nut cases that have been wrong time after time...The voters that can actually think for themselves made a **** good choice for the man that will lead this country. He is head and shoulders above the old man and that yapping puppy he beat...Talk radio is for the immature who can't think for themselves
and looks like the mouth pieces on the radio and the fix news network just became less relevant than they were which was none with us thinkers......I'm proud of the voters who didn't listen to all the fear mongering that came from the republicans again. One thing I'm concerned about(very little actually) is all those that have been screwed by the republicans the last 8 years and still found them to be the better choice?...Talk about having no common sense....Jeeeeeeeez
How many times do you have to be screwed before it finally sinks in that this isn't gonna stop anytime soon?
Obama has one heck of a hole to dig this country out of and with the support of those who elected him we'll get the job done. For those that try and stand in the way of progress that this country sorely needs you should be glad I'm not driving the truck cause I would flat run over you and I hope his adminstration does that to anyone(especially repubs) that try to stop progress......The American people have spoken and change they want....
Now, you rebs on this board don't go spinning your wittle heads off and hurt yourselves.
Larry.......I approve this message 100%. GO PRESIDENT OBAMA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
PL, I actually believe you have been brain washed 100 % by the Democrats...Andrew.......

I voted for the winning team like free able to think own their own Americans did.......how about you?
Did you dreams come true?
Your answer was very very .....very weak.....something you have in common with many others here.....
Pitifull at best..........
Quit drinking the koolaid and think for yourself......you owe your country that much....
LOL, THINKING and you should not be mentioned in the same sentence. you sound like a campaign sign. The next time you THINK will be the first time!I voted for the winning team like free able to think own their own Americans did.......how about you?

I can GUARANTEE you there are a TON of Obama fans who voted for him simply because he's BLACK........I voted for the winning team like free able to think own their own Americans did.......how about you?

Now, I doubt there are hardly ANY that voted for McCain, because he is WHITE.....
You suppose those are LEGITIMATE, thoughtful votes......I doubt it.
Later,
Geo
I don't buy that for a second. Here in rural Western Ky, racism is not even close to being extinct. I heard it daily leading up to the election - "there is no way I can vote for a ......." so they pulled the lever for McCain. I just bite my tongue and go on. Some people are just ignorant and stuck in the past. So to think racism against blacks is a thing of the past is wrong - ignoring and denying the problem doesn't make it go away. I am sure plenty of whites threw their vote McCains way based on race.
Something like 55% of whites voted for McCainI don't buy that for a second. Here in rural Western Ky, racism is not even close to being extinct. Something like 96% of blacks voted for Obama...
Racisim?
What if it was the other way around? Racisim?
Also Id like to add, how many times did we hear before th election "XX% of whites said race was/was not a factor in their choice for president..." but we NEVER heard, "XX% of blacks said race was/was not a factor in their choice for president..."???
I wont say that some whites voted for McCain only because Obama is black. I infact know that happened and I think its sick. But my point is, lets not forget that white people are not the only people that view others by the color of their skin. I actually think the stats show that because Mccain only got a little more then half of white votes that for the most part whites do not judge, at least a president, by the color of their skin.

If an African American ran for president every election and the numbers were the same - yes.
Considering this is the first time in our history that an African American was on the presidential ballot, I am not surprised, or disapointed that he recieved the majority of black votes. I voted for him, and there was a part of me that was proud of the progress out country has made in terms of racial awareness and equality. Whites took over this country and have historically had all of the advantages. Blacks in our country have had to fight for everything. Segregation still legally existed until about 50 years ago. I can't imagine how some African Americans felt that lived through those oppressive times, that for the first time had the opportunity to vote for another African American.
I do think race played some role in this election, however, I don't think it is all negative. I don't think they were voting against McCain becuase he was white.
McCain revieved the majority of votes of people of 65 - did they discriminate based on age? I am sure many of them did because they felt they relate to him better.
Actually, not even CLOSE to the first time, but first time a black person had a SERIOUS chance of winning.......
Yea, GREAT reason to vote for him...........I'd vote for a BLACK man or a BLACK or WHITE woman, had I thought their values matched what I though.
Racial equality would NEVER PLAY ANY PART.....
Blacks, Hispanics, Asians, already get MORE than they should based SIMPLY ON THEIR COLOR....and now, we've given a black man the presidency largely based on his COLOR.........talk about affirmative action.........FANTASTIC.
I know......lets have a Mexican next, and then a Chinaman........
NO RACISM here....just using YOUR own reasoning......WOW.
Yes....WHITES did take over this country.......GET OVER IT. AND you're right BLACKS, traditionally have had a tough road, with some of the barriers they had to overcome............over 100 YEARS AGO. I'm not saying it is perfect, but for you to continue to talk about how the black man is KEPT down does nothing but KEEP HIM DOWN.
NOW we create programs JUST FOR HIM, and they still cannot make it.....SO lets throw some more money at it.....
Bla, Bla, Bla..............KIND of tired of hearing about it. Affirmative action GIVES a Black Woman more opportunities than ANY other demographic. I'm not making it up.......DO SOME RESEARCH.
My honor role, all HONORS classes daughter, cannot get ANY scholarships, yet one of her best friends, a BLACK GIRL, and another friend, a KOREAN GIRL, have TONS of money available. BTW......my daughter is RANKED classwise HIGHER than BOTH......My daughter sees the injustice, and is BITTER. BUT hey Affirmative Action is GREAT.
Again, they choose to segregate THEMSELVES, as much as ANY RACE AROUND. I will admit, when I was in high school and college, I had a TON of black friends, but today.........not many. Some of this is because of me, but MOST of it is because there are not many BLACK MEN in my industry.....
Blacks didn't vote AGAINST McCain at ALL......They voted FOR Obama. Had a WHITE LIBERAL Democrat been running, Many would have NOT VOTED AT ALL.....Had Kerry, or Edwards, or Clinton won the Democrat Nomination, turnouts in the black community would have been about normal. BUT, as we saw, the turned out, and voted for a black man, because he was BLACK.I do think race played some role in this election, however, I don't think it is all negative. I don't think they were voting against McCain becuase he was white.

McCain revived the majority of votes of people over 65.........NOT because they were WHITE or BLACK.........because the CARE about the country. AND BTW......break that demographic down by Race, and you will be SURPRISED..
Actually, not even CLOSE to the first time.

Perhaps you should do some research. The law that prohibited segregation was not passed until 1954 - I don't thing 54 years is anywhere close to over 100 - and if you think that was the end of the social barriers Blacks had to overcome - You must have had your eyes and ears closed the last 50.
I may be overlooking something too, but please tell me the last time one of the two parties had a black presidential candidate on the presidential ballot on election day? I did took your advice and did some research - didn't have much luck with this one.
Good thing it is getting cold out, you could make a blanket or two with all the yarn you are spinning.
