    boat cover

Anyone know of a good place I can get a good cover for my 1999 GIII pro G 175. I found boatcoversdirect.com on the web but I'm not sure how reliable they are. I live in Northern KY near Cincinnati.

    Thanks

You can try www.auroracanvas.com. I had them make a cover for my Stratos when I bought it new in 2003. Cover is of excellent quality and craftsmanship. I only use it during the winter when I put my boat away until spring and I do not have to worry about anything getting in to nest during the cold weather.

    Thumbs up Re: boat cover

Chris Erwin makes the best covers i've seen. He's in Ashland, but that should not be a problem if you want it done right. he did my brother's cover and my cover. give him a call. here's a blurb about his covers; a phone number is down there, too. Tell him Nathan Cornett from Lexington sent you. he'll take care of you.

    motor cover

    Southside Upholstery
    2901 Central Ave
    Ashland. Ky

X2 what stratos185 said. I have the same cover and it is awesome. Heavy duty and durable. No worry about the critters when you put it up or leave it out.

    Re: boat cover

Hey, mdobob, I have the same G-3 as you. When the cover that came with the boat rotted out, I bought one from Bass Pro Shops for a little over a hundred dollars. I bought some PVC pipes from Lowe's and made a tent like frame for the middle of the boat and it works great. Do a product search for "Boat Cover" on BPS site and there are a bunch to choose from.

If you find something better let me know,

    Grumpy

Yes it is a one piece cover that covers from trolling motor to and including the outboard motor with all tiedowns and rope to snug the cover to sides of boat. When you order they will ask the length of trolling motor and other measurements. My only mistake (Due to inexperience) was that I did not have them leave a extra 6 inches between the boat cover and motor cover so the motor could be put all the way down if needed.

Mine is 20 years old and still going strong. I did have the seams resewn two winters back but no rips or tears and the seams were just starting to split.
