    U of L vs. WKU

Talk about bringing a team back down to earth...WKU did just that to U of L and showed the world of College Basketball that as well. WKU did finish in the sweet 16 last year, so they did have a decent team coming into the game....But U of L shooting around 25% for the game just ain't going to win many games.....Too bad this defeat didn't happen at Home for the Cards or even at WKU for the Hilltopper fans...But to get a win on a neutral court is just as good as a home win I guess.....

I told my wife last night, "There is a guy on fishin.com right now flapping his beak". I'll give you her number and you can ask her, lol. I get on here this morning and there you are, to funny. Clyde I will save you some trouble so you don't have to post something about everytime Louisville looses this year. They are gonna have about 7 to 9 losses heading into the NCAA tournament this year. I predicted this before they ever bounced a ball this year. Slaughter and Pettigrew have an Axe to grind with Louisville and Kentucky for snubbing them, I don't blame them and more power to them, I'd would be the same way. The Cards do this stuff every year without fail you can set your watch by it. I just want the steady progression and be a good team come Feb. We''ll see what happens, so keep crowing, and we'll check back in a couple of months.

In Pitino's eight years at Louisville, he has had only one team that made it through the month of November undefeated and the list of teams that beat them could be a whos who of mid majors, such as WKU, Dayton, Umass etc. No worries here.

I think Pitino finally let them have what they wanted and basically said "okay guys, you don't want to do it my way, then lets see how that works out for you." I don't think he is wanting to lose, but he has been known to do things to send a message. See the 96 SEC tournament game when he set Antoine Walker for most of the game and the Cats lost. It was their last loss of the season.

Pitino said they got what they deserved because it was the worst week of practice one of his teams has ever had. I see a wakeup call coming this week.

Hey Tim they have probably been riding those exercise bikes ever since they returned home, lol. Oh my goodness it's gonna be tough on them this week. I also felt that same vibe you felt. The players thought they could just show up and Western would just roll over,,,,, NOT. Every year you can count on this type of game, usually there is a couple of them. I had forgot about him doing that with Walker, man were they focused after that.

It takes a little bit to get the freshmen to be on the same page. This loss will help a great deal down the road.

Did anyone get on here and post when the cats lost to VMI or San Diego State or Garland Webb last year?

    That is what I thought.

I know that WKU beat the cats when they were ranked #4 a few years back. The cards beat them when they were in the top 10 when Rick P was there coach.

Kentucky lost over the weekend to West Virginia, a bigeast team - there's a post.

Just be thankful that in college basketball you can lose and still be in it at the end. Western might surprise some folks again this year.

Hey they played an awesome game and they won fair and square. I could not believe Kentucky or Louisville either one went after Slaughter or Pettigrew. I mean Pettigrew was a Ky. Mr. Basktball for heavens sake. I was saying this when they came out of high school too. Slaughter came from Shelby county and Pettigrew from E-town. I've always like Western's program and I was pulling for them hard last year in the tournament. The new coach is a class act also.

You beat me to it, lol. UK won that game and it was very entertaining, two very evenly matched teams going at each other hard.
