You know if the people who voted for him could excuse "Barry Almighty" for his associations and under handed politics that they will have no problem in forgiving his decisions on these goons.

Two of President Obama's key cabinet appointees have income tax issues. First his Treasury Secretary, Geithner discloses he 'mistakenly' underpaid by over 35k. With Mr. Obama's strong support he gets the appointment anyway, and now a guy who can't file a proper income tax return will play a key role in spending the money stolen from America for the so called stimulus package. (Yes, I know it hasn't passed yet, but it will.)
Last night I see Tom Daschle, the President's choice for heading up Housing and Human Services apologizing for not paying over 100k in income taxes. Just the unpaid portion of his income taxes amount to more than most Americans make in a year. The President stood firmly behind his nominee despite the tax problems, but Daschle has now withdrawn his nomination.
I admit to disagreeing with the President, and honestly hoping he can't pull off his implementation of the far left agenda. It's also been my hope that common sense would prevail despite the media and leaders of other countries fawning over the new administration.
What about those who've been in Mr. Obama's corner all along? Are any of y'all having second thoughts? Is our President showing poor judgment? Is this the politics of change we've heard so much about?

You guys crack me up. He's been in office for approximately 2 weeks and you would think it's been 2 years with the "having second thoughts" stuff.
Geithner is well qualified for the position and the stock market jumped when it was announced he was the choice for Treasury Secretary. He was voted in by something like a 60 ya to 34 na vote with 10 pubs voting ya and 3 dems voting na, so it wasn't just people that supported Obama that liked the pick.
Did you guy like every appointment, decision................. Bush or other pubs made?

Sort of like the crowd who voted for Bush both times and continue to make excuses for him even though its obvious that he messed up big time??
As far as change, you mean like actually meeting with the opposition party in congress within a week of being in office to get their input, including repubs in his cabinet, keeping on high level folks from the last admin? When was the last time you saw that?
And no, I do not expect to agree with everything Obama says/does and will likely disagree with him on a number of issues.

Hmmmm not like any of that really. Barry has had non stop crooked associations and questionable decisons with who he calls his friends and business partners since he has been in the election process and President. I would not even associate with a man like that much less vote him in as President but alot of America did and until he does something solid in my book I look at him as a huge mistake.Sort of like the crowd who voted for Bush both times and continue to make excuses for him even though its obvious that he messed up big time??

Bush had (8) years (which means he did some things right) and I still maintain that he is being blamed for stuff that has been twisted to fit the Liberal agenda. Bush made mistakes but he also did alot of good. Heck, he was even blamed for running gas prices up to help his buddies! What a joke!
As far as meeting with the high ranking GOP guys it's just show boating in my book. If they agree to the Pres. stand on spending our way out of this mess then so be it. How do we fix an economy by going further in debt? That's the answer? Man haven't we been doing that already? So since Barry says so this time it will work? I'm confused on that one.
I don't really have any faith in either party they live in another world. Get rid of them all they are all crooks. We hear about it everyday and these guys get a free ride. Throw Blago into the Barry scandalous past as well.
I was taught to lead by example and if Barry is going to do that then we are all in trouble.
Guess that answers the question, you don't have doubts about his judgment. (yet)Sort of like the crowd who voted for Bush both times and continue to make excuses for him even though its obvious that he messed up big time??

I don't make any excuses for President Bush, he doesn't need any. He's stuck to his beliefs, kept our country free from terrorist attacks, held the line on taxes, sent every working American 2 tax rebates, and many other good things. I disagree with some things he did, but overall I'm proud of and thankful to Mr. Bush.
Congress is the real culprit for our current financial situation, but realizing that requires some actual thought. Much easier for the press and America's entitlement minded citizens to blame George Bush for everything and just look to the government to take care of us from now on.
Meeting with the Republicans wasn't change, it was a of media circus show.
The President has appointed Republicans to commerce, transportation, and defense cabinet positions. To me, that's more like real change. He even stayed on the sidelines while a deal was cut to keep a Republican in Gregg's vacated Senate seat for the remainder of his term. Politics of change? Maybe. But I ain't convinced.
In recent photos, President Obama looks deeply tired and somewhat haunted. He and his wife's smiles aren't as wide anymore. One can only imagine the pressure the President is subject to. Look, I completely disagree with his party's agenda, but don't dislike or disrespect Mr. Obama. Hopefully the job doesn't wear him down to the point where the hard-line-take-no-prisoners leftists in his party like Nancy Pelosi, Hillary Clinton, and Harry Reid take the lead.
Wow, this is going to be fun. I come at this with the attitude that Government wether run by W or BHO is a necessarry evil. It is not only too big, but it is huge. Small Government is the way to go. I voted for W twice only because there is no way I could vote for Al the world is burning up Gore or our troops are rapists and murderers Kerry. Thank goodness W was in charge when we were attacked. Now for the fun part. W ran to the left as fast as he could when he got elected. He was going to bring a new tone to Washington. He got together with people like Ted watch me do the back stroke Kennedy to take us closer to socialism. Just to try to get the Dem's to like him. We see now how well that worked. He spent money just like the Dem's do. He used fear as a weapon against the people to get the first huge bailout passed. Now BHO is using the same tactics to try and get another 1 trillion (I was going to type out the zero's but it would take too long) dollars added to the weight that is already on the american people's back.
I'm tired of hearing that we should give BHO a chance. He's only been in office 2 weeks. What does that have to do with anything. If he nominates crooks to his cabinet we should oppose him. I dont care how long he has been in there. He has said that he will have the most ethical administration in the history of our country. I guess it's all relative. What does it say about our country if these crooks are the only ones capable of doing the job. We are in a world of hurt.
