Here's my question:If we all stop drinking alcohol and smoking (which I know won't happen), what will they tax next to feed our out-of-control government's spending habits?
I'm so over government at this point I can't stand it.
Well since we already get charged for air at some gas pumps maybe we would have to pay for the air we breath. I joke, but nothing surprises me with the bafoons anymore!
Here in Floyd County Indiana we are taxed on the rain!! Yep. Storm water fee.
I live on 5 acres of grass and I am not connected to any sewers. I know that my water runs into the nearby creek and then into my neighbors big pond.
So the County charges me $39.00/year attached to my property taxes for "Storm Water"
Makes no difference if it actually rains or not, they get their money. WTF!!!!!

Ha Ha, yea how about ice cream and bread. You know what amazes me is when Fletcher was in office we never heard Doodly Squat about any budget shortfalls. The instance Steve Bequeer gets in office we are so far in the hole that we will never get out. Who do I beleive? I got it, NONE OF THEM!
Minnesota as well as other states have looked at Mileage taxes since gas taxes are down. I guess if we all start riding Bicycles we will pay per foot revolution!
All I know is they are looking to tax two of my three favorite things. I feel like I am being discriminated against.
Mary Jane will become leagleized and taxed!

Hey what about prostitution? its legal, we are getting screwed every time we turn around, why not give us some bail out money.
Do we have it that bad? Tn 10% sales tax, even on some food items.Az is proposing a 50% tobacco tax, and almost the same on beer. When they raise taxes on specific items, folks tend to move away from using them, so estimates of windfalls are hard to make.I'm for a flat 15% tax and that will take away all deductions, including luxurytaxes. And eliminate all state taxes, and let the federals hand out the money.Or some day we will wind up with a usage tax, on everything.Yep death and taxes, always has been ever will be.What isn't taxed?
Tim I did not say that I or anyone else should use pot but if you look back in our country' s history liquor was made legal and taxed in order to help our country back during bad economic times. Our country has taxed and taxed again everything that they can think of. I am not saying that we should make pot legal at all.
kygorski I'm with you on the flat tax issue. That would solve a lot of problems, one being bringing in tax dollars from the rich and poor alike.
