You got to be careful about bass pro string now, I was up there last week and the man at the counter told me they changed companies that made it for them he thought that the quality had went down. I know this you must be constatanly looking for knicks in your string.

I use that line for all my fishing. I wonder who made it before and who does now? Any ideas?

I thought that the XPS Fluro was a Japanese made line and that's why it was so good. I love it but I haven't had to buy any this year yet. Now I'm a little scared. I know one thing they haven't lowered the price of it. It keeps going up every year. I've almost quit buying everything at Bass Pro because they keep raising prices. i order most of my stuff from Tackle Warehouse. No tax, and free shipping.

no going to take some time off of bigger tournament fishin, might fish a couple of local tournaments maybe, but for the most part i am going to fish for fun this year and work on my fishin. realized there are alot of good fisherman out there and i need to learn alot more before i doenate money. plus i just dont have the time or the extra money right now. cant put the extra time that i need to on the lakes the bigger tournaments fish. when all the kids get older and are all in school then maybe i will get back into then. but till then i will mostly be fishin green river since that is my home away from home. good luck to you and your tournament fishin this year, remember the more your line is in the water the better your chance is to catch fish.

I use fluorocarbon for almost everything but topwater now. Bought a bunch of the Berkley Transition to try this year. I dont see as well as I used to and I hope it will help me see where Im casting.

    Re: line question

I agree with sidespin47, I use the Seagar Inviz X on everythining expcept top water and FnF, because it does sink and can pull your bait down. Of course, I only fill my spools with about 50 to 100 yards of Fluorocarbon becasue of the cost. I have found that not only does the Seagar Invez X have all the great properties mentioned in the previous replies, but it also seems to stay fresher on the reel longer, so I'm not changing out my line as often. Here's a tip: use a cheap green line (doesn't matter the pound test) as your backing line under the fluorocarbon so you can see when your getting close to the end of the flouorocarbon. The green line will show through the clear line. I guess the red line would work well too.
