Tim I did not say that I or anyone else should use pot but if you look back in our country' s history liquor was made legal and taxed in order to help our country back during bad economic times. Our country has taxed and taxed again everything that they can think of. I am not saying that we should make pot legal at all.

kygorski I'm with you on the flat tax issue. That would solve a lot of problems, one being bringing in tax dollars from the rich and poor alike.

Hey GR, I didn't think you were advocating it or anything. The biggest difference between alcohol then and pot now is that alcohol was legal and then was made illegal, which when legalized again was a little more socially acceptable.

Thinks Tim I just wanted everyone to know that I was not advocating the use of pot. I do think that it does have a strong chance of becoming legal in the next few years because of government greed for our tax dollars. They have us taxed to death on everything else.

Fellows at one time cocaine was legal, not kidding. Also we could legaly buy some morphine drugs, and how many of you remember good ole G I gin?. You could get it over the counter, just sign the register. What happened? Its very simple, make a law against it, and it will go away, just like prohbition. The pols saw the success they had with that, and the next thing you know, gambling is next, to be illegal. That was a huge victory for the moral right also. We dont need more laws, just more common sense.
