youth fishing tournaments?

I have a 14 year old that wants to get involved in some youth tournaments. Is there anything in Kentucky to get involved in? Any help would be appreciated. I have never fished a tounament, so I wouldn't know where to start. I did sign him up for a BASS jr. memebership.

yes there is... Fishers of men has a legacy series that is the best thing since sliced bread. The season is only two tournament long and if you compete in one you get an automatic bid to the national championship where we give away a new Triton. It is an overall good atmosphere - friendly competition that is all about the kids, Christ centered, and exposing them to tournament fishing.

You should also checkout www.USABassin.com National Team Tournament Trail, we to cater amateur and youth anglers.

We promote a "family-friendly" atmosphere, this allows the youth to be involved and experience competitive angling, while learning good sportsmanship.. We offer free membership for anyone under the age of 16.
Low membership fees of $25.00/entry fees starting at $25.00 for a weeknight and $50.00 for a weekend per boat.

So, if you joined it would cost $25 membership, and free membership for your child. We have over 20 divisions in KY with many lakes to choose from.

X's 2, I helped as a boater last year and was very impressed with the tourney. Top notch outfit and plenty of sponsors so no one went home empty handed. They even gave gifts to the boaters for helping.

Kentucky federation nation has Youth division. It is Bass affilated events. Check out the website. www.kybassnation.com They fish four different lakes and have state championship. The winner receive scholarship money. Need to check it out. My 13 old fish it and loves it.

My son has fished this 2 or 3 yrs and loves it. Finised 3rd when he was 12. had to brag.
