how does this work? does the government give money to the banks to lower the payment or give it directly to homeowners?

Apparentally the gov is giving it the the banks and financial instutions and they are supposed to help the homeowners, but it seems that the CEO's are the one's getting most of the money, in the form of bonus's and perks. They shoul dgive us the money and let the banks fail. When I was a child I used to hear old timers talk about how crooked banks and such were and some did not put their money in banks as they did not trust them. I guess they were right after all the rich and mighty cannot be trusted.

Sad part is you can't hardly trust anyone anymore. Look at how many poor people abuse the system or people who make it look as if they are poor. Presbo and company has enabled more people to sit back and collect more unemployment for a longer period of time as well.
Why go back to work? The Gubment will make mortgage companies refinance your loans and pay you to stay at home and if needed collect welfare and get free healthcare. Whats the incentive for people?
