Pre Spawn Bass on Beaver Lake

Has anyone here fished for bass on Beaver Lake during the pre spawn months in the Spring? Just wondering what the bite was like and if the bigger fish are more active at this time. I have had good success during post spawn and summer catching alot of 12 inch bass but I would like to hook into some of the bigger bass in this lake. Any info and advice is appreciated!

I have a 7 pounder on the wall. Caught in the end of Feb, 2005. Also that day I caught another close to 5 lbs. That following weekend I weighed in a 6.1 pounder only to be beaten by a 6.5 that was weighed in. So your answer is yes.....I think the bigger bite comes in early spring in colder water.

5.6 lb bass on jig/pork

Other reports on rattletraps. Haven't been in years, but its just like any other smaller body, warms up faster. Biggest bass caught in Feb/March
