just got back; a few hours on herrington. water temp. was around 53 main lake and 55 in a creek we were fishing. i don't know the names or anything, but we put in at chimney rock. one fish came on a crankbait off a point midway back in a creek. they may be pulling the lake. it did not look up at all.

I fished from 0800 to 3P today. I caught two bass and missed a 2Lb and a 4 pounder. They followed my spinnerbait to the boat and tapped at it and ran. The two pounder actually came out of the water for it. The bite was SLOW!! My one keeper was a 12 and a half incher who probably went 3/4 of a pound if that. He was a skinny little sucker.

Been REALLY slow there. Only took 7lbs to win tourney on Sat. Water did come up about 6-8 ft Fri-Sat. That may have affected the bite.
