Well honestly i'm hurt because as you all probably know i went to dale hollow for all or this past week and i thought fishing would be good with the warm weather that we had but boy was i wrong. I fishd all week and didn't get one single bite. I tied fishing jigs, tubes, worms, spinnerbaits, crankbaits, topwater, and FNF, bassically i fished every lure in the old tackel box i even went to crappie and panfish fishin even with live minnows and worms and bobbers but guess what not even one stinking crappie or panfish not even a bite. I honestly have to say i'm dissoppointed i mean not even one brim even with a hook sinker bobber and worm. But i still actually had a fun week of relaxization and just being free of stress.
Now to the water conditions, the water temperature was around 60 for an average. The coldest remp was 56 and the warmest was 64. The water was clear on the main lake and was stained up in the backs of coves and creeks.
So like i said i'm dissoppointed but i still had i fun relaxing week.
Good luck to anyone who's planning on going cause' you going to need it.

Tuff luck man. Hopefully, you can do a little better next time. I think that the smallmouth are just really starting to get going, as of today. Things ought to really pick up over the next couple of weeks.
from what i hear and have experienced that jerkbait bite is doin pretty well down there.... it has been tough as of late on the hollow... but that stinks that u couldnt even scratch one out..... what part of the lake did u fish on...
I fished up arounfd the fannies creek and illwill creek area.
Don't feel to bad brother, there were a LOT of hurt feelings when the BFL was at the Hallow a week or so agoYep, one of them was mine...LOL

ok i thought u said in one of your other post u was going to be in the wisdom area... i like that part of the lake in the wolf river arm but dale is tough right now... i have trouble finding fish this time of year cause u cant never tell what they are goin to do.....
We did a little bit better but not much. We fished Dale this past Thurs & Fri. We had 5 on Thursday with the biggest being a 4.5 LM. Caught the LM on a deep diving XRAP in a cove. The other 4 were under 2 pounds. Friday was tough! I lost one at the boat before the big storms hit us. We made if off the water just in time. Right after the rains stopped my partner caught a 14" spot on a spinnerbait. That was it.
We had planned to fish Saturday AM at Dale Hollow but decided to drive back to Lexington and fish Ellerslie instead. We caught 4 LM at Ellerslie yesterday.
At Dale, we caught fish on jerkbaits, crankbaits, spinnerbaits and grubs.
Don't feel bad, we had the same experience last year at this time of year. We found you had to be fishing huge jigs 25 feet down.
It got to the point with us where we would drive around coves and over points just trying to graph them. I don't think I've ever fished a lake for 2 long days and graphed so few fish. And we fished/graphed several different areas. The best spot we found was in Sulpher. There was a spot were we found a rounded point with grass all over it and we marked several fish in 12-18'. We fished this spot for about 45 minutes before the storms drove us back to the dock on Friday.
Wisdom is in illwill and fanny creek is the left fork of illwill so he was in the wisdom areaok i thought u said in one of your other post u was going to be in the wisdom area... i like that part of the lake in the wolf river arm but dale is tough right now... i have trouble finding fish this time of year cause u cant never tell what they are goin to do.....
