thanks for the report. Anybody know the results of the Renegade tourney there last weekend? Didn't get to fish due to work.

Fished Cave Run Friday & Saturday. Friday morning launched at Poppin Rock and fished up the river. I had 1 good fish come unbuttoned and my buddy caught a couple dinks. Slow to say the least.
Friday evening went to Alfrey and launched and fished big cave creek. Once again a few dinks on plastics.
Finally Saturday we decided to try for some crappie. We launched at Beaver Creek ramp and located a school. We had 50 in about an hour. Only problem was there was just a few big enough to see the livewell. All were caught on yellow and white crappie tubes 8' deep.

I have been wanting to make a trip to the popin rock area myself.....If I may ask, what shape was the lake in....water color, temp and the like.
We also fished Saturday for bass with no luck other than a couple dinks. We fished Caney Creek area. Water temp. was 55 and slightly stained. We did get up close to a young Bald Eagle and a couple beavers which was a first. We have always noticed the beaver huts and trees down by beavers in this area but was a first for actually seeing them. They sure have done a number on trees around the shoreline there.
[quote=Hlleonard;364858]The water was almost muddy. There was lots of debris floating near the bridge. Water temp was 54 at the bridge to 57 in the back. I did find water down around the dam on Friday evening in the low 60's. Hope this helps.Fished Cave Run Friday & Saturday. Friday morning launched at Poppin Rock and fished up the river.
