Hummer is losing a ton of $$ for GM, not surprised that they want to get rid of it. From the story I read, they'll save 3000 jobs by doing so.

Armor on a civilian vehicle I really doubt it. If there were any military secrets the deal would never have gotten this far. Besides, if the hummer had any secrets on it, anyone could buy one and reverse engineer it to obtain them. No need to buy the whole line to do that.

The military hummers, from what I understand, are produced by a different company entirely....American General, out of South Bend, IN.

The Chinese company's intent with buying GM's Hummer is "to produce Hummers for the growing demand of fuel efficient vehicles in the U.S." Fuel efficient Hummers? Hmmph. That will either be a laughing stock, or they'll make us look like total douchebags when the come out with a Hummer that gets 35 mpg in the first year.

Naw, one of them is just plain wrong!
