Hey.
I went to a lake in Southern Indiana on Saturday......Fished for 3-4 hours, and had a pretty good night on the jig.
My daughter (oldest, who quit fishing with me years ago), caught 3 bass, her friend, caught 1 bass, and I caught 7.
Of the 7 I caught, 6 were keepers, above the 15 in slot.......NOT BAD.
All fish were caught on a jig........black/blue or black hair jig........

well if the water temps were that high, it had to be a small lake, i.e. Saddle. but i was just there 3 days ago and the water temps were only 83-85...dunno how the temps shot up that fast

Taking fish out of lakes and ponds is not always a bad thing Marlena! I have seen many a pond/small lake become one with too many small, stunted fish! On the other hand, taking too many out out can be harmful as well. Moderation!!!!!!!!
10-11 inchers are the best eatin...their meat is much better compared to larger fish
George,
I've heard the redear fishing is pretty good at Saddle, I do know it's not nearly as pressured as the other three lakes in the forest. We normally target Indian because of it's ease of use, Celina is almost to deep for me with my small boat setup. BUT, I've also heard of people catching over two pound redear in Celina because of the deep water and places to hide.
For the record, I've caught some hog redear out of Indian, never fished Tipsaw but have been told they're aren't as hefty over there?
