Well I can't give you any advice because I've never been there myself but I know exactly where the ramp is. I'm dying to go though.

One of my buddies and I are planning a trip to the White River near Broadripple to try out his new jet prop boat...can anyone help me out with locating the public access site in this area? Any fishing advice (smallies)/navigating tips would be appreciated also...thanks!

It's right off of 62nd St. before you get into Broad Ripple, right behind the Library in the park. Just take Keystone Ave to 62nd, and then go west about 1/2 a mile. It will be on the right (north) side at a stop light.
Thanks guys....I ended up finding it last night and found directions on-line. Hopefully I'll have some good stories to share tomorrow night!!!!!!
Smallies on the main river have been doing well. Find big rocks in slow current near decent depth and drag a crawdad jig by it. Won't take you long to get into some nice fish. Good luck!
is it too deep to wade there?
Jason
We had a good day at the White River on the Broad Ripple pool today. About 20 fish total....18 smallies and two largemouth. Most were pretty small, a few about 15 in. and 2 lbs. We ran all the way past the 86th St. bridge....my first time on a jet powered boat and we needed it! We caught most of our fish on cranks and SB, which was surprising because we normally do well on the river with tubes....no takers today on plastics though....go figure! Anyone know how the fishing is on past 86th St. and the big slough that is there on the left? We wanted to run up that way but ran out of time.....it also got way shallow right there...even for a 18 ft. jet boat. Also, has anyone heard about Lake Indy...where is that and how do you get there? I am fishing a tourney on Monroe next weekend and don't expect to have as much fun there!!!! Anyone have any recent success there, any thoughts would be appreciated!
Thanks for the advice Muskyman.....they just wanted something moving a little faster today for some reason! Jason......I would say no on the wading near Broad Ripple.....there were only a few spots shallow enough for that and it would be way to much current to be safe.
Found it, here it is. I think the ramp is spot B. This pool is from 30th st. down to 16th st.
