    Quote of the Day...

"You cannot legislate the poor into freedom by legislating
the wealthy out of freedom. What one person receives without working
for, another person must work for without receiving. The government
cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take
from somebody else. When half of the people get the idea that they do
not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them,
and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work
because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that my dear
friend, is about the end of any nation. You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it."

Wise words that still ring true. The gubment has so many people thinking it's cool to take from others (not only the rich) that it's gonna be hard to change this opinion. Especially, when the Presbo ran on this idea.

Tell it brother Tell it! Maybe PRESIDENT Obama needs to read that statement over and over and over and over until it sinks in.

That was one of the factors in my early quitirement. I was out there busting my hump 12 and 15 hours a day while someone else sat at home drawing welfare. I'd had enough.

PS. I am living entirely on my savings, no pension, no Govt. checks ,etc.

I wonder how many people are so-called disabled. Also how many are truly disabled, and not the condition I run into all the time. "Mental disabuility" or "back pain". What would have happened a 100 years ago. I bet the mental stress and anguish people would have figured out how to do something or they would have been hungry. The disabled program is the biggest bunch of bull in the country.

I should email that quot to Obama and have him put it on his bathroom mirror so he can see it every morning.

TR8 I have all the respect and sympathy for your friend in the world. That is why we have SSI. But I can't tell you how many guys I have chased down, who run like a deer, jump fences in a single bound, hurdle a dumpster, and by the grace of God you can box them in and catch them.

When you ask them where they work I have a bad back and I get a check. If I had a .05 for every time that happened I would not have to work. I had one guy that got a check for being dyslexic. Said he could not hold a job. I managed to graduate from EKU and hold down a job. I took all the test and I unfortunately I have dyslexia as well.

But, I did not want to use it as an excuse. When I would complain that school was too hard my parents told me well that is just the cards you have been dealt and you must work harder then the other kids to make the same grade.

It has become a way of life for too many. Ryan.
