Slippedcork, reference you comment about Mccain/Palin, a serous Shakespearean play will loose audiance to an Abbot an Costello comedy everytime but in reality Sheakspare has an honest message and Abbot and Costetllo are a joke. Unfortunately, in this case, the joke is on us.

So let's start taxing us more for dirty energy. Then let's fix the problem somehow, ask Obama he has the plan. O.k. we've got it fixed lol. what does it matter when china brings up a new coal power plant every month. There not going too play by any rules. So I guess Obama thinks we only breath the US's air. Granted a 1/3 of pollution is re-absorbed but I bet after a few weeks china's crap is worldwide. Kind of like nuclear fallout, you may live through the intial 400-600 mile blast but after a while the wind will get ya.

I don't know if that makes any sense or not, before my coffee. But if the worlds not gonna play what good will do for us to fix everything. I bet it will be negligable effects

Good to see you on here...welcome. Don't forget Congress has alot to do with how things are run and the Dems had control toward the end of GW's run...so blaming GW for everything isn't accurate.

As far as giving this liar a chance..he had it. He and BIden are a joke and they got elected because they ran a great campaign promising to do the impossible. People loved to hear his speeches but as his programs unfold they will realize that we still have to pay for them and that's when the wheels on his love train will fall off. His ratings will continue to fall because the goof balls who voted for him will realize that they were duped.

Thanks for speaking up, it's good to hear your voice.

Most of us understand completely the power of the people who voted Mr. Obama in. A huge portion of the people who voted for Mr. Obama are young. College age when idealism and the socialist atttitude prevails. Most with no idea of what the guy even brought to the table, they were just voting for the much ballyhooed 'change'.

Another large portion of his voters were people who've contributed absolutely nothing to society, but responded to promises of more government handouts and 'wealth redistribution'. Remember ACORN?

Race also played a significant role. A huge number of people voted for him because of the color of his skin, regardless of their political beliefs. The liberal press's support didn't hurt him any either.

The economy is cyclic, the Republicans didn't run it into the ground, it happens. Besides, as Don points out the Dems controlled congress when the economy soured. The trigger for the economy's collapse was government mandated home loans to underqualified buyers who defaulted.

I don't know how you can say Reagan was the best president in your lifetime, and support the Obama administration. Their idealogy is diametrically opposed...180 degress out of phase...miles apart.

If Mr. Obama is successful in implementing his programs Americans will ultimately be be very very regretful. Look at his track record so far. Record deficits, broken promises, political cronyism...same old stuff.

It's gonna be very interesting to see how those on the Obama bandwagon feel when the tax hikes roll in. Make no mistake folks, they're coming...and in a big way.

Rather than support the President's programs for the sake of our country, I'm dead set against his programs for the sake of our country!

So basically you want us to be a socialist country and have the Govt run everything and tell you what to do? Personally I love to hunt and will fight to the death you or any other sob that tries to take my guns away. You also think that people who work hard to get something should be punished/taxed to death to give it to sorry @#$%^ that don't want to work hard? These ideas are very sick in my mind, while far from rich,I know wealthier people that started out very poor and worked their tail off to get what they have, and you and Obamanation think that it should be taken away and given to theives, welfarites, and sorry @#$%^?

Seems to me you guys dont like obama. I think you should turn your anger toward nancy pelosi and harry reid. They are the ones bringing the bills to the floor for limited debate. Obama dont have a vote in the house or senate but like bush he is ultimately responsible in the end. I think some are crying wolf while seeing a rabbit. The clunkers program is a very good idea, giving a tax break is the republican way isnt it? This program has jump started the auto industry and that creates jobs. When and if the carbon offsets becomes reality it well may just create thousands of jobs. Ronald reagen was the best because the people rallied behind him and his ideas, rally behind your current president because if you dont and fight him all the way we the people will suffer in the end. As to the gun issue, I dont think they can get anything past the blue dogs, they want to be reelected and are to afraid of this issue.

In don't like anything in or about Washington D.C. but especially despise the lefty dems that covered up the truth about Obama and his past, his association with a known racist minister, his association with domestic and foreign terrorists, his association with ACORN and how they bought votes and used illegal tactics to register voters and received kickbacks from Obama sponsered bills, and the backing from all these fruitcake specialty interest groups that would take enjoying fishing and the outdoors from you if they could, groups like PETA and other animal rights groups,Tree Huggers, and gun takers.
If you think the Govt can competently run our health care then you better look at how crappy England and other countries health care is,and how well our fearless leaders run and mishandle social security, medicare, and your taxes.Better look at how you people complained about Bush spending 567 Billion, yet don't blink an eye at some nut spending 3 Trillion that hasn't helped a thing.Obama talks about Tax Breaks with one side of his mouth, while he raises taxes on everything under the sun on the other side.
You think taking away or taxing to death every current means of energy and creating a few solar panels and windmills is going to right the ship, then you definately belong on the left side of the table, but don't tell me to rally around somebody who is against every principle I am for and my family has fought for in this land since the early 1600's
I can only wonder what goes through the minds of people who want the govt to tell them how to live, what eat, what to wear, how to treat your health, when to go to the bathroom.Mind Boggling?

We have a democracy in this country that has worked for over 200yrs. Some years the right get what they want and some years the left. The majority wanted this country to change direction and thats what the majority did! Sorry but you gonna have to put up with him at least 4yrs, thats the American way, the best democracy in the world. I had to endure 8 yrs of bush and stood behind him all the way because he was my president. You should try and learn something positive about obama like I did bush, trust me I had a harder time than you will.
