In my opinon i think the nightfishion led inserts that go in your rub rail is the best led light.... My partner just put a set in his new beeline which is 21 ft.... and there is 3 strips of leds that go down the side of the boat on each side.... The whole set in 198$ from bluewater led's, and i think they are awesome b/c u dont have to worry about no blacklight falling off running down the lake, no jacks to drill into your boat!!!!

Yea those things are really the trick!! At first i was kinda leary about them, because i didnt know just how bright they was.... netting those mean smallmouths with a dim blacklight can be a hassel, but those things have really performed better than expected!! My only downfall with the nightfishion led's is here on c-land we are the only ones that have them in the tournaments that we fish.. and here lately we have been bringing in alot of good bags and with those noticable lights everyone is figuring out our spots!!!!!

you definitely want moonlite female jacks. all the rest are junk. i don't understand why everyone thinks nuclieye is best when they both use the same uv led? supposedly moonlite has the best electronics and you get a white or green light too. here is some interesting reading. i haven't seen the rubrail lights but somebody said they weren't very bright.

If the lights are in the rubrail, and the rail where the lights are located is rubbed, will the lights be damaged?

As far as the better and brighter light it,s your choice the nuclieye whitch is 250 dollars is according to tests the brighter light and works underwater my moonlites have not failed me yet in downpours at night but I don,t know about underwater. When I installed mine I was advised by my dealership to use hoppys plugs they were the best.

The led's in the rub rail are very bright.... now nothing compared to a moonlight, which in my opinion are way to bright!!! and as far as them getting rubbed and damaged we have had no damages yet... we have tied up to conley bottom marina, in a storm where the wind was blowing 40-50 mph winds with the boat beating up against the dock and have had no damages to them...
