Way to hang in there. Half way through I was sure you weren't even going to make it to the lake.

Well, interesting trip to the BRL yesterday afternoon. Trying to get my bro-in-law into fishing here recently, decided to take him up to the BRL yesterday afternoon with my father-in-law (he has the boat). Waited on my f-in-law to show up in Bowling Green forever! He finally shows up (it's getting late now, and I'm ticked off!). We finally hit the road from BG towards BRL around 4:00pm. We decided to put in at the state marina. A couple miles down from RangerBobs, my f-in-law locks into a trance on an oncoming boat (it was a nice boat) and he ends up RUNNING OFF THE ROAD! Dirt flies everywhere, the boat trailer hits this pot-hole and jumps a couple feet up into the air. Comes down and the tire blows. My f-in-law decides to go look for a new tire (of course he doesn't have a spare!), and says he'll be back in a minute. My b-in-law and I wait at the boat on the side of the road. Long story short, my f-in-law ends up driving all the way back to BG for a tire and leaves us stranded on the side of the road for nearly an hour and a half! (now I'm really mad!). New tire on, we finally make it to the marina and launch the boat @ 6:00pm. We headed out and up into Peter Creek. Knowing we had little day-light left, we immediately pulled into the first creek on the left. Nice looking creek with lots of debries and stick ups. First fish came on a buzzbait in the stick ups (2lbs). Next fish was caught by the b-in-law on a 7in pb worm (2lbs). Caught a couple more short ones on the buzz and finally made it to the very back of the creek. First cast with the buzz produced me a smashing hit! Nice fish (3+lbs)! Proceeded to catch other dinks, but ran out of daylight. All that for almost one hour of fishing time! Lots of baitfish back in there, with actively feeding bass. Wish we had more time to hit 'em, oh well. Next time. The buzz I was getting hit on was a Booyah Counter Strike 1/4oz gold blade Glowbee.

Thanks for the invite Terry. I don't consider myself very knowledgeable when it comes to the BRL, but I have had some good trips up there this year (as well as some bad ones). Being boatless however, I am oportunistic
! Let me know when you head up there sometime, I'll split the costs with ya.
