Hey all! Looking at renting a place at barren to mainly fisherman next year. 2 bedroom " hoping to set up to sleep 4 people", 2 bath mobile, Kitchen with all appliances, washer/dryer, cable TV, about 200 yards from lake. Docks at the end of stairs. Slip rental probable.. I have one slip.. may be able to use/rent another.. Beaver creek ramp within 1.5 miles..Great set up for tournaments! Looking at charging $75/night during week $95/night weekends give or take. Question is would anyone be interested?

Does the dock have access to electricty to charge batteries.

will try to have pics in a few weeks.. leaving for barren today.. VACATION!!!! Be back on the 22nd. I have extention cord from my place to docks.. Please keep in mind ?I have to give the place I am buying a little TLC.. However, the one I have now is in great condition and may rent it out some.. Good luck this weekend! Ed

Man good luck with your venture. Lock it up like Fort Knox, the Crackheads down there will take everything of worth off of that trailer in no time. They target these type places that aren't a permanent residence.
Vandalism and theft are through the roof right now, especially in very rural areas such as where you speak.

I've had a new double wide down on a lot at Barren for six years with no problems ever (knock on wood). We have two slips because they were grandfathered in when we bought the lot. I leave my bass boat in for the weekend every time I'm down. Never once have we had a problem. Now I do know that the Narrows has been hit twice in the last couple years with someone taking everything they coould get their hands on- like fishing poles, downriggers etc. you get the point. There are bad apples everywhere but if you have to worry about everyone you see is out to steal from you than you are going to have a long boring life. I personally would not rent out my place to anyone! It's my getaway home...

I hear ya bro, and in no way was I trying to put Barren down, I love that lake the area and the people there. It's just it seems it's all you hear about anymore and now it's especially bad with this down economy and all these whacked out Meth Heads. Man that Meth stuff must be some bad news, people get on that crap and it completely rots their brain and controls their life.
I fish Cumberland alot and it's gotten so bad down there, that certain ramps I'm scared of during daylight hours and wouldn't even consider the dark with'em. It started off down there with alot od cataylic converters stolen, now it's that and they are even stealing people's entire boat trailers in some cases. I guess they take'em somewhere dismantle them and sell the parts for drugs. Sad, very sad!!!!
