    Barren motels

Looking to hook up one for a couple nights this weekend. Help.......(ahhh...the wife will be with me so what I really need is a place to sleep)

Got a good handle on the ones in Glasgow, but would like to be closer to the lake. Narrows is where I plan to go in, but could do the ramp at the dam.

I checked the B/B at the top of the road leading to the Narrows, but its rates smoke me. And the State Park guys must be real proud of them lodge rooms........$$$$$$$$........not......ouch!

Any suggestions? Smoking room would be fine, or room with bacony or ground level to escape to burn one. To me, a great rate is $49 to $79 a night. (but them again I'm sober right now).

The Executive Inn is an okay place. Rates are pretty reasonable, rooms are clean. I can get the number if you want it.

Funny that you bring this up.. I may post a question about how many people would be interested in renting a 2 bedroom mobile next year, with access to lake. About 200 yards. Full kitchen and utensiles, 2 baths. It is across from my doublewide at Barren. My place is only 6 years old.. bought it last year and built steps to lake. Love it there! Planned to rent it, but I am there every weekend.
If you are not uncomfortable, you can stay in one of the bedrooms Friday/Friday night. I am there with an uncle this weekend ... wife is working in Louisville. We have 4 bedrooms, so one side of the house would be yours. One night free is a good rate! Call if interested..Ed 502-419-3210.. Sorry if this is confusing.. the 4 bedroom is mine.. buying the 2 bedroom moblie.

Are you in Whispering Woods to the left before you get to Beaver Creek Boat Ramp?

Here is a link of where I stay at Barren which is about 1/4 mile from the state park. There is also a small rentel cabin I think rents for $50. per night.

Thanks folks, made a list for future outings and will try all. Probably take me a couple years to do that, unless I can get the ole lady to start working overtime
