Great to see those smallies coming on here. Geo did you put in at the 164 ramp? There has to be more ramp idiots at that place than anywhere in the country.

We were there for only 3 hours..........5:30 - 8:30......
We caught 5 fish, had options on 4 or 5 others..........
Biggest fish was a 4lb largemouth.........
BEST fish was a smallie that HAD to be 6+. My buddy fought it for a few minutes, and then she came unbuttoned........
I had an option on another decent fish, but didn't seal the deal.
Were were in the lick fork area, using spinnerbaits, and soft plastics.......I also threw a crankbait for a while, but NO GO.

Seems like you are really starting to get on them over there Geo. I thought I read earlier this year that you would not be going back to Patoka,![]()
no luck here... 1 about 10 inches...and one about 17 at 2am...0 bites otherwise...sucked
Yes.........and YES.........Ramp MORONS............
I've not had any problems with THEFT there though........I hope I just didn't jinx myself.

Patoka is simply too close to NOT go...........I can make the trip for about 40-50 bucks.......and if someone goes with me......CHEAPER.
I need to find a place down there to dock my boat..........might be cheaper.

i forgot i did lose one other that was pretty nice,BUT he went to surface and just before he did, line went slack. pulled it in, no fish,no bait...weird, the knot was still in the line tied perfectly and not broke, and no spinnerbait on it. cant even explain how that happened
That stinks... sounds like the arm on the spinnerbait broke and cost you a fish.
i guess...cant really say ive ever had that happen...
Small tourny on sunday and two teams had 4 or 5 the rest struggled. Big fish was 6.26. I tried all of the main lake grass and squeeked out three 15 inchers. All in all a tough day on Patoka for me, too much like work. Headed to KY lake for classic next, hope to have better luck..
fished sunday tournament( small club), took just under 17 lbs to win, with 4 fish, anchored with 6 lb.BB. 2nd 10lbs 4 fsh , 3rd 8lbs 3 fish. the rest of the guys were one fish wonders. Bite pretty much sucked after the sun got high, and ENE winds.
