    GOP calling for Reids head

The Gop and several Dems are calling for Harry Reids resignation for his comments about Potus.

Of course he doesn't see it that way and all the top dog Democrats are all rallying to his defense. If Mitch McConnell would have said this I wonder what would happen.

Pubs aren't going to have to win any seats next election after all the Dems shoot theirselves in the foot, lol. The winds of change are really gonna come next election I can feel the breeze already.

I assume you're referencing the comments made mention in the latest book that's titled "Game Change" or "Game Changes" or whatever the name of it is. I haven't looked into the book at all, haven't read any excerpts from it or anything else, all I know about the book I have seen on the news, and judging from this little bit of information, it sounds to me like several of the politicians that were quoted as saying such-n-such were saying what were to them to be true....Hillary mentioned something about if she were elected she didn't know how well it would work because she knew Bill would be right there in the thick of things, that she couldn't control him, etc (seems to be a fair statement from what I know)...and then this Reid guy referring to Obama as "pale skinned" and didn't have the dialect of the average "African American" (Once again this also seems to be a fairly true statement from what I know). I guess my question is, what's wrong with the truth? I know it's unheard of to get the full truth out of any politician but you all know what I mean. All of what I just wrote is based on memory, I don't know for a fact exactly what each politican was quoted as saying, but to me, it sounds like "BEHIND THE SCENES" these politicians were all speaking the truth according to them or how they felt about certain issues, is this correct?...I'm trying to be as politically correct here as possible in order to keep from getting a blistering from the moderators of this board (which is lame in my opinion but that's an entirely different story).

You ALREADY know the winds of change are brewing Mark, change once again is going to be inevitable come 2012.

To whoever on this site, if I'm wrong about what I wrote let me know, maybe if I learn something today they will let me go home early.

    Here was his quote.............

A ''light skinned African American'' with no Negro dialect, unless he wanted to have one.

It's only the truth if someone that is on your side or who you like says it.
If the comment was made by a foe or opposition and can be tagged a racist comment and hurt the person who siad it?? Well...then it's venomous, wrong and you should be removed of your postion is short order!

What Reid said was the proverbial foot in the mouth. Seriously most people with any common sense would know better than to say what he said in the manner he did it.

You would think these politicains would learn a lesson or two from past events but I'm starting to think they may all have some serious mental deficencies.

Geo I don't think saying "Lott was FORCED to resign over much, MUCH less." holds much water.

Lott's quote: "I want to say this about my state: When Strom Thurmond ran for president, we voted for him. We're proud of it. And if the rest of the country had followed our lead, we wouldn't have had all these problems over all these years, either."

Thurmond's party ran under a platform that declared in part, "We stand for the segregation of the races and the racial integrity of each race."

And a quote Thrumond made on the campaign trail "All the laws of Washington and all the bayonets of the Army cannot force the Negro into our homes, our schools, our churches."

Also Lott had attracted controversy before in issues relating to civil rights. As a Congressman, he voted against renewal of the Voting Rights Act, voted against the continuation of the Civil Rights Act and opposed making Martin Luther King Jr.'s birthday a federal holiday.

    Much less?????

I'm also opposed to the Martin Luther King Holiday. I always have been (opposed) and I always will be I guess. Nuff said from me on this subject.
