    Question 24 V TM Verses 36 V // Worth the difference ???

I am getting ready to upgrade my TM From a MG 24V, 82# digital , Cable steer. To a MK Terrova with ipiot. With the electronic footpedal with 18' cord and wireless remote.

My question is : Is a 36V 100 # thrust worth all the extra expense of an additional battery and another OB charger for the 36V verses the 24V ?

Anybody have any negative feedback on the MK Terrova?

I wouldn't think the 36volt would be worth the extra battery and expense. But it depends on where you fish. If you do any saltwater or great lakes fishing you may want the 36Volt. But if your just fishing average size lakes I don't see any need for it.

I would have to ask how many times do I go to max. thrust? I have a 24v Terrova auto/copilot on a 21ft. Lund ProVle and have no problems.
Lowerider has one on a 23ft. Carolina Skiff and has no problem even in current on the Ohio river.

Hey Rockfish I would have to have a 36v TM on the CR that would be very nice so that you could use it more then the outboard Yes I do think it is worth the difference I was thinkin about gettin one for by G3 by the way it should be in sometime this week so iam goin to take in to the lake and try it out. It would not be safe to try it out in the river lol. I have a 24v MK on it and I want a 36v MK on it so I can go upstream with it in all of that current.

I can not comment on the model you speak of however when I bought my Ranger it came with a 36V MK on it. I had issues with the wiring over heating and melting inside of the head of the unit. After having it repaired twice I decided to go with the MG 24V. I have had no issues since.

Man, I would not care to take my boat right up by the Dam right now. It is no big deal. Just a little choppy ! Now I am talking the left generator side. Not the right sluice gate side. I can only get up to the 2-3' white caps on that side until it jars my teeth loose !

You would not have any trouble on the river. Unless it was loading or unloading on a angled ramp somewhere !

No Man. Not been fishin lately. The last time I went they were running 4 generators and probably 4 sluice gates. I trolled right up to the dam and around and back down for a couple of hours. Trolling with a heavy jig with about a 4" shiner. And never got a hit ! There were a lot of gulls all around too. Getting the shad that wash thru. So you know there had to be big fish there feeding also ! But I was only trolling with one pole. Cause I was by myself. Guess maybe I needed more weight? Or my head examined

It looks the same today. Only with 5 generators running. No boats in the River and no bank fisherman !

    Rock-
I could have helped you out with some extra poles in the water! lol! To bad you didn't get anything. There has to be some stripers up in all that just gorging themselves on all that shad! You are wanting to go to a 100# TerrovaTM huh.....just trying to out do me! lol! I see your TM is as big as mine! lol! With the 100# TM on there, you can just take your outboard off and save on gas! THE WHITIES ARE COMING!!!

Just want to make sure I get what I want this time. The 24V does real good in 2-3 generators. But what if I wanna fish when they have 4-6 running ?

It does not matter if I get the 36V 100# they will come out with a cheaper 125# model with more goodies very soon !
