    Re: Dear Skeet, WHAT HAPPENED?

are their any way, to get them to have the big world bass fish off, on laurel lake in february. they already have their warm clothes, and the water temp is 40. k.v.d. said thats the way he likes it, the fish isn't as lively. and they won't have to deal with muddy water, it will be good and clear. I wonder what the weigh in would be? and if those guys, are as good as those southern lakes, make them look like they are. just dreaming, but I sure would like to see it.

Trust me, they ae that good. Seen them a few of them on Taylorsville in October cold spell and there was a couple of limits and a 6 pounder and they only fished 4 hours.

    How bout Denny Braeur 0-0
    Boyd Duckett 1-2

Guys of their caliber in this tourney are swinging for the fence, and aren't fishing for points, or a decent finish. They probably fished spots away from everyone one else, and were fishing different, but it looks like if you weren't fishing Beeswax Creek, you had no chance.

Give them the routine 3 days practice and they probably will show you stuff you didn't even know exist.

Spring Creek looked pretty good for Russ Lane, he was catching some big spots on the last day.

I don't remember the little guys name, but the one that when he would catch a fish. he would jump up close to the camera, and say don't count me out. he caught one and said if they don't feed, force feed them. when K.V.D. took the big trophy. I didn't see the little guy. I sure though he would win, if he could force feed the bass.

I am calling BS on the pros catching all the fish here in Central Ky so easy. I have fished against most of them at one time or another and they are only as good as the locals that tell them where to go if you think that I am full of BS then pay your money when and if they ever come back around here and find out. My bet is that they won't be coming any time soon due to the fact that the fishing is tough here.

I hear you man, I know K.V.D. can catch fish. and he's my pick of all the pros. but I would love to see him fish laurel in the middle of february. { NO LIVE BAIT] and watch him strike out. laurel lake is the toughest lake I ever fished in the winter months. spring, summer nights, and late fall it's great fishing. but for me the winter months are a nightmare. and I keep going back. fished about 4 1/2 hours yesterday, without a single bit.

Are you saying they violate one of the rule on a regular basic?

Sure there are some of the lower tier guys that would struggle like the normal fisherman but the top guys in the sport can come to YOUR water and smoke you like a turkey. And make you like it. (:

I remember they had a tough time fishing Herrington a few years back. IIRC 2/3rds of the field blanked and 6#s won the tourney. I believe it was only a 5 or 6 hour long tourney though.
