Shimano Crucial 7'11" crankbait rod/Or KVD TOUR

Looking at buying a new crankbait rod. I was wondering if anyone has the shimano crucial 7'11 crankbait rod. If they like it or not?

Going to either buy the 7'11" crucial crankbait rod. Or the KVD TOUR 7'10" that he used during the classic. Looks to be a good rod but I don't think I like the foam grips.

I bought the KVD 7 footer and paired it up with a Revo STX. I knew what I was looking for when I went looking for a new cranking rod at BPS last year. I picked up just about every cranking rod they had and just couldn't find what I wanted. I've never been a Quantum fan, so I hadn't looked at them at all. Figuring I owed it to myself to at least give them a try, I picked up the KVD rod and pulled the tip down to check the action. I knew immediately that I had found exactly what I was looking for!

I have the crucial rod on a revo STX..and love it. But I also have two BPS crankin stix ($75.00 ea). And I dig them as much as my crucial!!! ...you can buy two of these crankin stix...for the price of either one of the rods you mentioned, maybe three!!...and they are just as good I asure you. Many of the pro's use them...to help cut down on expensies.

lay your hands on that KVD rod first - it is pretty big, I Bought a "vendetta" to try over the KVD

That Vendetta looks sweet for the $$$. I'm considering making a rod purchase. The Vendetta or BPShops Carbon Lite are on my short list right now. I want a 7' jig rod that is light but I don't want to pay big bucks for it.

I bought a couple Vendettas to try. When the baits in the water I like it a lot. But, casting is a little tougher. As for cranking rod nothing beats the new loomis cranking rod IMO. Casts great, good feel to it and you can feel everything.

I had a BPS crankin' stick 7' but the handle to big and hump shaded but great price lost alot of fish though. Had a quantum 6'6" old kvd rod liked it better but not good on the big deep stuff. I looked a lot at the KVD rod but it is huge, heavy and weird foam handle, price higher as well. I'm a shorter guy and Kvd is tall and he designed the rod for him. This year going with the skeet reese crankin rod and I also going with his spinnerbait rod. Wow! lite and good price, can't wait to really learn the rod.
