Alright here's the senario. You can only pick one species and it's given size for your all time dream fish of a lifetime.
Mine is a smallmouth at least 8lb, bigger is better but 8 would be Utopia for me.
What's your's????
Remember you can only pick one.

Smallmouth, 6 lbs or better, light tackle, buzzbait, while wade fishing.
My dream is to stick a great big donkey of a LM bass while south of the border at El Salto this June! She's a big, full of tilapia mother and tips the scales at 26.5!!!!! I'm on the cover of every fishing mag. Caught her with a Loomis rod, Shimano reel, Berkley line and Bass Pro Shops 8" worm.

I'll take it one step more than the other that have posted.......
THE WORLD RECORD SMALLMOUTH!
Right now all im dreamin about is a big fat prespawn largemouth. 10lbs if i had my choice, but 9 would be okay to.
Well since its my favorite spot to fish on the lake, and I was on the lake fishing the same spot on the same day where that 13 year old girl caught the state record Musky. I'd have to say I'd love to catch the KY State record Musky from that certain spot on cave run lake.
Striper, 50#+ caught livelining an 8# smallie
Just kidding, on the smallie.

Blue Cat over 100 lbs.(45lb is my biggest so far)Hell might as well dream big!!
Any largemouth over 10 lbs would be a dream come true for me...mainly because that's what my old man was always after!! And just like in the movie Grumpier Old Men (Catfish Hunter)...I would release her in tribute of my father.![]()
I didn't post my father connection side of my answer but my Dad always made fun of me catching catfish. He liked to catch them himself but he thought that ribbing me (since I loved bass fishing) was just as fun. So now when I catch them I think of him...with fond memories every single time.![]()
Although my fishing these days is mainly for LM, my dream is for a massive 3lb bull bluegill. I've caught a 12 inch 1.5lb bluegill so far, bit I'd love to see a dinner plate sized, 4inch thick bruiser. Heck, make it 5lbs and throw a state record my way!
