Fishin.com Bracket Challenge Possibilities....

First of all I studied this for about an hour and I THINK I have all the possibilities ironed out as to who will win....... I THINK......

Elwood - 37 wins so far
Matt Doddridge - 35 wins so far
Pontooner 1 - 34 wins so far
Cbelly - 34 wins so far
Don Dasher - 34 wins so far


By looking at the brackets and taking into consideration like victories or defeats in the next rounds these are the only 5 that can win the challenge.

I think I have all the scenarios as to what each of these 5 want to happen in order to have the bragging rights for a whole year. It will clear up a LOT after tonights 4 games and I can easily post the scenarios for whomever is left in the fight after tonight.

Short and sweet for tonights games:

Baylor and Ohio State BOTH must win tonight or Cbelly and Don Dasher are eliminated.

Duke must win tonight and Sunday and West Virginia must beat UK on Saturday or Pontooner1 will be eliminated.

Elwood and Matt are both alive until Saturday no matter what happens tonight.

Elwood is alive past this weekend no matter what happens.

With the Ohio State Loss that knocks out Cbelly and Don Dasher from any chance at winning.

Makes the scenario pretty easy now.

Elwood is leading with 37
Matt Doddridge has 35
Pontooner1 has 34

None of us has Baylor so that game does not change anything.

We all 3 have Duke winning tonight so that makes tonights Duke game a wash.

After tonight no matter what happens Elwood will still be up 3 points on Pontooner and 2 points on Matt Doddridge.

If Kentucky beats West Virginia Saturday then both Matt and Pontooner will be eliminated and Elwood will win the bracket challenge.

If West Virginia beats UK Saturday, both Matt and Pontooner will gain 1 point making Matt behind by 1 point and Pontooner behind by 2 points.

If Kansas State wins Saturday then both Elwood and Matt will gain 1 point and Pontooner will be eliminated.

If Kansas State loses Saturday and Duke wins on Sunday then Pontooner will gain 1 point and both Pontooner and Matt will be behind Elwood by 1 point heading into the final four weekend.

Both Matt and Pontooner have West Virginia winning the Semi Final game and making it to the title game which will gain both of them 1 point each and all 3 of us will be tied. If this happens then we will end up tied for nobody will have picked the National Champion and it will come down to the tiebreaker point total. Elwood has 143 for a total, Matt has 148 and Pontooner has 144.

Saturday sure does mean a lot for many different reasons.

Elwood has 38 wins. No more games correctly picked.

Matt Doddridge and Pontooner 1 both have 37 wins. Both Matt and Pontooner have West Virginia winning the final four game against Duke but not winning the national championship game. If West Virginia beats Duke then all 3 of us will be tied with 38 games and it will go to the tiebreaker. Tiebreaker points, Elwood 143, Pontooner 144 and Matt 148.

I took a look at last years fishin.com bracket standings and scores and this year was a bad year all the way around for brackets.

38 points is going to win it this year and that would put you in dead last for 09 by 2 points.

Also just noticed that Elwood finished in last place in 09 and climbed to the top this year so it was a big turnaround for around for him and UK this year.
