    army corpse of engineers

With the millions spent so far on wolf creek dam, and still more to come, did it ever occur to them that maybe 400 yard walk up a slope that gots to be close to 15% could endanger somes health? Not mine!~ I wont lauch there again. But a person mover that could take you up that thing, say maybe for a buck would have been an idea worth considering? But during the years I worked in the chemical industry as a process operator, I came to learn that a lot of engineers, when taken out of their field of expertise, are sort of heavy footed. And then there are the project managers, mostly patronage, who dont even know how to spell sweat.I ran into once who was a wizz ar turbine technology, but couldn't start his car, because the terminals were corroded. But thats the corp, by the time they figure out how to fix wolf creek and center hill, the dam at carthage will wash out. Ah dale is also built on carst sub strata.

    It's NOT that bad.

I usually take my canoe down there........and PARK at the top to not block the ramp. That means, I portage my 70lb canoe and all my gear up and down that **** hill.

Yea, something would be nice.........PERSONALLY I don't know why they didn't build a REAL ramp with a turn around at the bottom........but hey......WHAT do I know.

    Later,

    Geo

I agree! It could be worse, they could of just said the hell with launching boats and not extend any ramps. Oh, I have noticed that there are quite a few of us out there that could use a walk up and down those ramps if ya know what I mean.

With most of these lakes built for flood control I think recreation use is way down on the cores list of priorities.

The rec use pours millions into the state you would think they would care at least a little bit.

i agree about the walk up the hill, but i will pay AND walk up the busier ramps that have people around them in the middle of the night. lost alot of stuff at lilly creek ramp a few years ago while out nightfishing. of course none of it was ever recovered.
