Still not long enough odds for Roy Sullivan, who was a U.S. park ranger in Virginia's Shenandoah National Park. He was, in fact, hit by lightning seven different freaking times.
Some "scientists" theorize that Sullivan's occupation as a park ranger in an area prone to thunderstorms might have something to do with his problem. We prefer to think of him as an undiscovered X-Man with the worst superpower ever.

Sullivan first got struck in 1942 while on a lookout tower. The bolt entered his leg and exited his big toe, shooting the toenail into space. Sullivan has also been hit while driving down a mountain, fishing, and inside of a ranger station. You've got to wonder if there's something wrong with you when lightning searches you out inside of buildings. It set his hair on fire and Sullivan decided to carry a pitcher of water around with him wherever he went. Three years later he got struck in the ankle and since we're pretty sure ankles don't catch on fire the water was useless.

Even Sullivan's wife got in on the action while drying clothes outside. They were hanging metal laundry on a steel wire when they both got hit. Things cooled down for two years, but by his sixth strike Sullivan reported that he was actively trying to escape clouds that were "following him."
Lightning didn't do him in, though. Sullivan sadly shot himself when he was 71 years old, over a girl. Take that, lightning.

Elnutsmalljaws, currently serving Day 479 in the hospital with internal bleeding in my upper GI area, currently battling kidney stones and gall stones, surgeon is currently evaluating the possibility of another surgery that is 10-15 times more dangerous than any previous surgery and he gives me 30% to make it off the table if it has to be done now. 16 Hernia surgeries where a total of 41 Hernias have been found and repaired, 5 staff infection surgeries, 2 impacted bowel surgeries, 1 Organization of Compartments surgery, 1 Lapendectomy surgeries to remove staff infected tissue, 4 collapsed lungs with chest tubes put in each time, 1 battle with kindey stones - passed 9 in 3 weeks including one that was measured at 11mm - ALL SINCE 2004. Currently has Pseudomoneous, Peniculitis and Cellulitis in his abdominal area. Currently small intestine is collapsed below my stomach and have to have Endoscopy procedures done every Wednesday to stretch it out in order for me to eat normal food. It is stretched to a 19 now and he just moved them to every other week starting the 26th. Doctor says I am more likely to have Cancer within the next 10 years (more likely than a smoker of 40 years) due to all the antibiotics I have had to take. Also just about guarantees me to have Liver, Kidney and Respiratory problems due to all the drugs and surgeries that I have been thru. I may not be the most unlucky person in the world but when it comes to my health issues and the fact that I did not have any until I had a weightloss surgery, I may be the unluckiest person on fishin.com.

Passed the 11mm stone at 9am and my surgery to remove the stone was scheduled for 11am. Doctor said about an 8mm is all that a man should pass. I told him that I really did not have a choice in the matter. Bled for almost 2 full days after passing the stone.
